Once a pure and noble paladin, with a holy task of fighting back demons and protecting the innocent.

After coming into contact with Pruflas, his faith was tested - he quickly succumbed to corruption and transformed into a demon.
The black marks that taint his once shimmering fur is proof of how far he has fallen from grace.
Due to his potent healing abilities, he was ushered into the Pseudomonarchia, and given a new name - Barbatos.

Memories of his old life torture him daily.
He wrestles with the conflicting thoughts of wanting to return to normal and enjoying the new demonic powers he has gained.
Barbatos’ main role within the Pseudomonarchia is overseeing the production of healing items and caring for the sick and injured.
Going from annihilating demons to saving them - such a drastic change is not lost on Barbatos, and it is something he continues to struggle with.

Barbatos’ various powers include: The ability to talk to animals. Fire manipulation. Healing.
Using his crystal ball, he can see into the future, somewhat. This ability isn’t very reliable or consistent and is very limited in it’s use.

As he is very attuned to nature, he prefers to spend his time alone, communing with animals.

Barbatos tends to be overlooked, with much bigger and brasher personalities within the Pseudomonarchia taking center stage.
However, he is a powerful being with vast ambitions and dreams.

On his right hand is a red mark - thought to be a curse, as the limb afflicted by it is slowly becoming more gnarled and mutated.
In these early stages, it's only manifested as the claws on that appendage becoming longer, sharper than the other hands claws.
How this will continue to affect him is completely unknown and Barbatos refuses to say where this mark came from.

Notes/Trivia

* He techinically resides in Syruent, but because of his healing abilities, he's forced to travel all over Narakunosoko offering services and insight, so he rarely spends much time at his actual home.
* Healing abilities are fairly rare within demonkin, and when they do manifest, they're very weak. Thus, why he was specifically targetted.
* He often dyes the fur on his left hand with the same brand that appears on his right hand - to fool those not in the know into thinking it's just normal fur markings.
