Ivanna is the most grumpy, volatile and unpredictible stryx you will ever meet, how she managed to win the heart of her handler Elizabeth is nothing short of a miracle and a wonder to all. On first glance the stryx appears to be tame but on a closer look it's obvious that the only between her and being a raving beast is the devotion she holds towards handler. Although her various flaws, Ivanna is also an endless fountain of faith and loyalty to those in her flock and if you are to approach this stryx, approach with caution and only at the agreement of Eliza.

Personality

Loyalty is a trait that Ivanna values highly: a stryx of no loyalty is a stryx of no honor. It is one of her strongest positive traits, next to her tolerence for those who are different and change. Considering she was raised by hand, by a human, her tolerence for other creatures and personality types comes from her understanding of being considered 'different' by society. Let it be warned though, when she is on a mission there is nothing you can (or should do) to stop her- less you end up with some claw marks.

Unfortunately her temper and the rapid changing of mood almost outpower her redeeming traits and make her come off as quite apathetic and cold. Driven by impulse and her sharp wit Ivanna would rather engage in a verbal fight then brawl but she isn't scared to get her talons dirty and loves a chance to flex her powerful muscles. Quite often Ivanna is known for creating complex plans and disregarding them at the next turn of the wind since she reacts purely on insinct and her fore-thought

Background

Ivanna's egg was left out in the open, her egg-layer Terabyte had left it quickly after being lain and incubated. Tartarus, the male who inseminated the egg was also absent as it was a breeding contract and the egg was considered unfavourable. Elizabeth stumbled across the hatching egg which was nested in slush-like snow and helped pull Ivanna from the egg shell, resting her upon her lap and naming her as the small dragon breathed her first.

Maturing into adolescence was a tricky experiance for both human and stryx, since Eliza had no clue what to expect and couldn't exactly speak to Ivanna since a telepathic bond was not yet formed. Difficulty on Ivanna's end was due to the same reason: communication. Lack of being able to communicate about food preferences and when she was hungry, lack of being able to communicate about when she needed to use the bathroom, lack of being able to communicate to demand that Eliza groom out her downy feathers that were clogging up her wings.

The biggest difficulty of all was fledging and trying to figure out to fly. With a fear of heights and the insincts of a house-cat her first attempt was so pitifully cute Eliza often wishes she was able to take the memory out of her head and frame it (there probably is a way, but, her spirit and nature magicks don't cover it!) though Ivanna didn't find it quite as funny. Through careful trial, a lot of bruises and learning how to aim for soft landing points the stryx finally learned how to take flight and not flail about and fall- or panic.
