Personality

Though he is an intelligent and extremely capable man, Ramsey is a disinterested slacker who prefer to shake off his own responsibilities onto others, and has the cunning to do so often without making himself look bad. Despite applying a seemingly cold logic, he's actually very good at empathising with people, a skill he misuses to have an easier time manipulating them. He desires a relaxing, easy life above all else, but is disgusted by the idea that he needs to work hard to achieve it. As a result of his laziness, he is notably unreliable on his own. Since he's so used to making others accomplish tasks for him, it takes him a bit to get the motor running when backed into a corner and reluctantly having to exert his own talents. He manages to force himself to be polite to others even though he's often entirely disinterested in them, so he gives off the impression of a cool, collected gentleman in spite of his actual character. He does have a soft-spot for kids, which he doesn't care to admit for.

• Due to somehow never having even seen an elephant until adulthood, he is pachydermophobic.
• His favourite food is a simple ham-and-cheese sandwich.

Background

Ramsey was formerly a government super spy, taking on international espionage missions. This was done reluctantly, as the effort required was completely against his tastes, but was nevertheless skilled when dragged along by his partner, who he ended up marrying. The relationship didn't work out due to their conflicting personalities and outlooks, and the two recently ended their seven year marriage. In order to avoid her, Ramsey retired from espionage and took a lower-energy investigative desk job in the federal bureau. This however still proved to be too much work for his liking, despite manipulating co-workers into doing most of it for him, and schemed his way into being assigned to the affluent private town of Marigold, planning to make as little effort as possible in profiling the seemingly quaint and peaceful populace...
