Profile
Faizel, having been of royal descent, holds himself in high esteem and regal sophistication. He has a strong distaste for anything or anyone he finds cheap because he only wants the best in his premises. Despite being incredibly vain, he isn't selfish and haughty towards others. While he pretends to be apathetic, he does genuinely want to help people who are in need and deserve his help. He has a soft spot for children who remind him of his youngest brother.
Being an ancient and knowledgeable being, Faizel can't help but be painfully traditional in his views and opinions, and is quite jaded when it comes to the world and its general populace. What comes with this nearly unyielding stubborness is being too disconnected with the present era; but he does make an effort to integrate and understand the ever changing culture and technology once he accepts his old ways don't work anymore. However he may need someone with plenty of patience to teach him how new technology like computers and cell phones work. Somewhere in his life he picked up an obsession with coffee, and it's one of the few things that would put him immediately in a good mood (if it's tastefully brewed). He is also somewhat getting an acquired taste for boba milktea which the youth love so much, but finds it too sweet to like entirely.
Present day metropolis where the world is divided into three realms: the mortal realm, the in-between, and the afterlife housing "heaven" and "hell". There are beings called "Diabolicus" who are undead humans that partially turned into demons. Their bodies are kept alive by a demonic being residing in their bodies, and manifest its ghostly form from their tails. They exist both in the mortal realm and the in-between, however normal humans find their physical presence weak in comparison to the fellow living.
Faizel was once an Egyptian prince whose real birthname was lost through time, as the tablets speaking of his family line were most likely stolen or destroyed in one of the many wars. He was a wise and charming prince beloved by his parents and people, however his mortal life was cut short because all his brothers but one betrayed him. They deeply envied him and saw him as a threat to the throne seeing how their father favored him. He died by poison which was covered up as a disease during investigation. However just before he was to be embalmed and buried, he was brought back to life by a demon who felt his strong grudge, and made a pact with him in exchange of allowing his body to be its vessel. Years of further tragedy and calculated plans, he eventually exacted revenge to all those who have wronged him and harmed the kingdom, sparing his youngest brother who he even helped succeed the throne. He watched his youngest brother become a good and wise king till his inevitable passing. Realizing he wasn't aging, Faizel continued to watch over Egypt till the empire finally came to ruin.
Several millenia later, at present day, he found himself working in a demon-hunting agency that isn't exactly up to his standards. Regardless he is thankful to his boss for giving meaning to his life again and explaining what he had become.

A grim repear whom he finds adorable. While he was initially drawn to her for being cutely attractive, he is fascinated by the fact she's a grim reaper. Because of his immortal nature, he would often joke that if he were to finally die he'd like it to be by her hand. Though as time passed and how often their paths cross, he eventually came to like her as a person when he got to know her better and read her subtle nuances. The only thing he dislikes is the fact that she loves drinking instant coffee.
A demon who constantly claims to be Clémence's twin brother. While he isn't sure that his claims are true, he notices that they bear an uncanny resemblance to each other. Faizel does his best to avoid this formidable demon despite it being his job to hunt him, as Faizel himself is curious and wants to find out what this demon knows about Clémence. However his investigations have been fruitless as anytime he would attempt to ask, he would get violently attacked. It seems this boy has a vendetta against him for courting his sister.
