Vicious, anarchic, and endlessly diabolical, Spirius has made clear to establish himself as the sans-morality epitomal annihilator of life. What led him to become such a being of lawless mutiny, no one knows; some theorize it is of vindictive intent spurred on by centuries of disgrace by some character in his past, while others, witnessing his path of extermination, boldly and definitively assert that it cannot be anything but his cruel, lawless nature. Over time, however, the rumours stopped. Far too few existed to make comment on his unsparing brutality.

In truth... there is no one answer, and Spirius is certainly unwilling to make it clear himself. Perhaps it's a mixture of them both, perhaps it's something different - an ability to comprehend death, or even a belief that he's doing a service to the universe - but the fact remains that he finds no issue with his actions and will continue on the odyssey of decimation till the stars themselves wink out.

Against all that is known about him, however, Spirius is oddly merciful - merciful in the only way a machine of genocide can be. He does not believe in prolonged suffering and has never made attempts to draw out the desolate lives of the fatalities he causes, instead choosing methods that instantly extinguish his targets. He'll even set out to eliminate systems that find out about his wrath as soon as possible as to not extend their miserable dread that he may one day come for them...

He does love monologuing and laughing at a (technologically-enhanced) volume whole planets can hear, however. Doesn't pure, unabashed villainy count for anything?
