Carvas was born out of the fires and evils of the Underworld, quite literally. Because of this he appears to be malformed and makes guttural animal noises, speaking rarely (if at all) with a raspy and chilling voice. He is violent and fond of inflicting pain, and his actions are almost solely governed by his primal nature. The only other being who seems to have any control over him is Hades, who often has Carvas take care of unruly souls in the Underworld who he wishes to dispose of. And Carvas is more than happy to do it.
