Suri

Blue-eyed child

As a pup Suri is bright, naive and well-meaning, although quick to judge. His woldview is pretty black and white, and he is determined to 'save' his brother from the evil dog who took him away from his family. Only, it turns out, that Ruki's adoptive father is a kind figure and Ruki has a good life there.

As an adult Suri is much more mellow, become stuck in his ways in a sense. He is still bitter over his father, but has followed his footsteps and is now stuck in a loveless relationship. Not only does he suffer, but so do his children. He feels remorse, but he feels like he can't change things and it's best to just stay put. Yet somehow, he seems to thrive in his life. It hasn't panned out how he thought it would, but he's content. To an extent at least.
