Physical prowess increases based on amount of blood ingested. While the blood can come in any form it has to be in the ABO system unique to humans so the blood of animals doesn't insight any change. The quality of the blood does effect the potency, fresh blood from healthy individuals is much stronger than blood that has been on ice or blood that comes from someone with more 'unhealthy' blood (low red blood cell, sickle cell, low platelets). Changes start to occur after ingesting as little as 2ml of blood. Something like a one teaspoon amount of healthy blood would give only a 1-2% boost to base power/speed. Hitting double at roughly 50ml. (he carries roughly twenty 1 mL capsules and five to ten 10 mL vials on him).

The effects start to diminish as the blood is reabsorbed into the body usually taking a few hours. No current cap is known since it is nearly impossible for him to drink more than 500mL (roughly 10x power output) without getting sick.
