Background

Ban grew up in the same bad neighbourhood as Tsuku. Being younger and  smaller when they were kids, Tsuku immediatly felt the need to take care  of him, especially because he had been a crybaby and being "the weird  kid" at school.

His mother died when he was 7 years old. He was  left with his father who also died when he was 13. Since then Ban had  been living at foster families. Sadly, the first family he got to wasn't  what he had expected so in this time he ran away pretty often only to  appear at the doorstep of Tsuku's and her fathers home, the only people  he trusted.

Tsuku's father sheltered him whenever he ran away and  needed a home but the authorities always shoved him to the next foster  family and knew where to find him whenever he escaped.

By the  time he turned 18 he already had several mini jobs so he could finally  live in his own flat. He eventually entered the police academy because  growing up in a bad neighbourhood and with the wrong  foster families  made him aware of how much crime happened in the city and effected  civilians. Also the relationships of his sister with gang members had left it's marks physically and mentally on his sis and he will never forgive this.

His  eyesight has always been bad when the sun is shining, but got worse  with every year he grew up until now, at the age of 26, he can barely  see anything at daytime. He doesn't like going outside before the sun is  going down because it's not unusuall that he walks at streetsigns or  even people. However, his eyesight at night is more then good. Therefore  he only takes the nightshifts at his job and is rarely seen at the  office during daytime.
