Profile
Jazz is a brash yet charismatic monster hunter from the big city. Her hobbies include slaying (in all senses of the word), clubbing, and milking her employee benefits for all they're worth. Why be a Peacekeeper if you can't use the company airship for parties, right?
Jazz lives by the Rule of Cool. She doesn't give a crap what you think, she'll do it anyway. She's big in everything except stature, unapologetically so. She's loud, she's brash, but she's your friend, and she'll make damn sure you know that.
Despite her quirks, she navigates the social world with finesse; you might even call her charismatic. Her job isn't all monster slaying--there's networking and bureaucracy and 'office politics' to think about--so to be the best in her field, she's had to appeal to the higher-ups, too, and that includes knowing when to turn down the volume and turn up the charm.
She's surprisingly sentimental beneath her big talk, and holds onto things longer than she should. She's laid-back, but man, can she hold a grudge.

Jazz is average height, with a lean build and rectangular figure. Her defining features are her ripped ear and messy red hair styled in a 'pine tree' shape. She is most often seen with a cocky expression. Sometimes drawn with bruises or dirt but they are not a part of the design.
She regularly wears leather jackets, fingerless gloves, and combat trousers. Occasionally wears suits. Clothes are usually black.
Jazz joined the Peacekeepers in her early twenties. She didn't excel academically or have much else going for her, but she was a bit of an adrenaline junkie in her youth and she figured if she was going to put herself in danger regularly anyway she might as well get paid for it. She didn't have a strong opinions on the beasts of Vistus either way, but did believe what she was doing was for the good of the world; less monsters means safer streets and all. She worked her way quickly through the ranks, spending her days wiping monster blood off her face and her nights in clubs getting wasted.
When Elora joined her team, her life took a sharp turn. She swapped clubs for pubs at Elora's insistence, and swore off one night stands. She wasn't sure why considering she and Elora were strictly platonic, but there was always a hope there that some day they would hook up. Jazz really admired Elora; she was amazing on the field, with power and ferocity matched by few, but she was reckless and violent, having put others' lives in danger several times.
After one incident too many in which Elora almost injured one of their coworkers, Jazz snapped at her, accusing her of being as bloodthirsty as the monsters they kill. Elora lashed out at her in turn and accidentally burned Jazz's ear in a fit of rage. Shocked and disgusted by her actions, Elora left the Peacekeepers permanently, but the damage was already done.
Elora did not get in touch with Jazz after that. Jazz ended up hating her more for that than for the damage to her ear.
After Jazz summoned Laerya for a special mission in Chrome's Edge and Laerya brought Elora along, it forced the two of them to confront each other and their rough past. Time will tell if they are able to repair the rift in their relationship... if Jazz even wants to.
Jovi is Jazz's colleague and friend. He works in the engineering department, so they don't work together so much as hang out. She considers him a bit dull on occasion, but they share a strong bond nonetheless.
They were joined at the hip once; efficient teammates, close comrades, and drinking buddies. Jazz even hoped for something more, not that she ever got to say it. Then Elora had to go and burn Jazz's ear off and ruin everything.
Jazz has a massive grudge on her for abandoning her after that. They have serious issues they need to sort out. Jazz wonders if they ever will.
Laerya and Jazz sometimes work together on missions. Jazz considers her a freelance Peacekeeper. They get along well, matching each other's energies in a way that occasionally leads to chaos. Jazz hopes Lae is doing okay out there.
