"My umpteenth great grandfather is an Arch-Lich in the ruins of Atlantis, and I have to go kill him. Again."

In a modern world full of fairies, goblins, vampires, werewolves and more, Namir is the many times great grandson of the mad wizard Al Hazred who wrote the blasphemous Necronomicon.

Namir is a determined, noble, and competitive young man with a wry sense of humor. At 16 he spent a year as the avatar of a monster-hunting being called the ‘Eye of Horus’.

Now, at 17, after being parted from the spirit in a near-fatal battle, Namir has used elements of his own ancestral magic to hunt down a malevolent Jackal-spirit, taking its power for himself and becoming a Rakshasa.

Namir spends most of his time keeping his unruly fae boyfriend Paul, Prince of the Autumn Wood, from losing his grip on his mortality and humanity. One wonders where he finds the time to fight other supernatural threats, but he does.

Early Life

Namir’s parents are Mido, a good hearted and somewhat shy police officer of arabic egyptian descent, and Anshula, a ruthless high powered lawyer and daughter of a wealthy hindi family. The two met in college and married in spite of, and partly to spite, both of their very traditional families. Sadly, after Mido was wounded on duty the two had a falling out, and divorced when Namir was 11.

Mido and Namir moved from NYC to the sleepy town of Red Oak, Maine. What wasn’t readily apparent about the quiet little town was that it was in the middle of a Fae wood, and completely full of fairies and other supernatural creatures. Namir joined the soccer team, immediately falling in to a bickering, flirtatious friendship with Paul, the handsome and charming team captain.

The Eye

When he was 16, Namir was visited by a spirit called the Eye of Horus, an owl-themed spirit of human protection whose mission it was to keep supernatural threats in check. The spirit granted Namir his ideal body, and superhuman powers in exchange for carrying out the will of the Eye in its form. This became a problem when Namir discovered that his friend- now boyfriend, Paul, was the son of the wicked fae, the King of the Autumn Wood.

When Paul’s father and some fae from deep in the other realm attempted to take over Red Oak and destroy all technology, Paul and Namir fought together to stop them. The spirit of the Eye was jolted from Namir when it absorbed a blow that would have killed him. The day was saved, but Namir was left once again in his former body, and frail and short-lived in comparison to his immortal boyfriend.

Present Day

After much research and soul-searching, Namir decided to tap into his ancestral magical talent in order to hunt and conquer a malevolent spirit and take its power for its own. After destroying a monsterous Jackal spirit and absorbing its power, Namir became a Rakshasa, a powerful magic-user with the head of an animal.
