Rin's Links
This dork has been a problem child from day dot. Oh, the stories I could tell of his misadventurous youth... I'll spare him the embarrassment this time. Izzy is a very precious friend of mine, he's been through so much but for the most part his stubborn and fiery personality has always dragged him through to the other side. The similarities I see between him and his son are astounding.
She may as well be my big sister at this point. She sure as hell acts like it, not that I mind...
My darling daughter, she makes me so proud each and every day. It has been and will continue to be one of the greatest joys of my life to watch her grow up.
That's my mum! She can be a little bit of a worrier at times, but I know she only has my best interests at heart. She and I could talk for hours on end and still have more to say to each other haha - I think dad finds it amusing.
This boy is full of so many beans, sometimes even I can't keep up with him. But he has been such a positive influence on my Mei, he's a truly cherished member of our little family.
The student exchange program could NOT have placed me in a better household when I came to Japan as a teenager. Rin really made me feel welcome and at home, especially when I was missing my own family - she's such a great mum. Everyone should sing her praises all the time!!!
Uzuru's got brownie points with me for not holding back when we spar at my gym. I wasn't sure what to make of him at first since Izzy's opinions were so vague, but I've met enough rough and tumble types hiding their feelings under a facade to know that however crass he may seem, Uzuru's just a very overworked and tired dad trying to do the best he can by his kids. He's a good friend.
Rin's a strong, beautiful, badass woman who knows exactly who she is and that makes her quite admirable, in my eyes. When I first met her, she was able to give as good as she got. We became fast friends when I learned she owned a dojo and could spar on par with me. Though she has a pretty mousey husband, she seems genuinely happy and I'm glad because she deserves it with all the good she does. She's probably one of the few people I'd consider to be a close friend... Though don't tell her- it'll just go to that massive head of hers.
My most beloved husband, I adore him more than words can describe. He takes so much in stride - how he survived the first year of our relationship is still a wonder to me haha. Even if our lives moved very fast, I wouldn't change anything about them. I truly found my soulmate in Subaru.
My beautiful wife is a ravishing whirlwind of a woman who's as cute as she is savage. She's probably too good for me, but no matter what I say, I know she'll be there for me every day for the rest of my life and I couldn't possibly ask for more.
Knowing now what Izzy had to endure for most of his youth and his own unhealthy coping mechanisms, I'm so very grateful to Rin. I can only imagine what would've happened if she hadn't been beside him... Though the reasons that brought her to Japan weren't the happiest, I'm glad that she settled down here and that Izzy can see her whenever he likes.
