Philomina's exact origins are hotly contested, as even she doesn't remember where she came from. She spent a good number of years wandering around the countryside, frequently being chased away by farmers or straggling villagers who were under the assumption she was some kind of wolf and/or demon.
Frustrated by this, she would slowly practice taking on a human form - as she was tired of getting settled in one area only to be chased away because someone had caught a glimpse of her tail. Not to mention constantly starving due to the lack of a concrete emotional host. Attracted by the aura of happiness and joy, such as a family throwing a birthday party for their youngest, she would show up for a brief second and the sensation would be gone - replaced by fear. That is, the potential host screaming in horror at the 'demon' that showed up.
It would take quite a bit of wandering, and practicing of her human form, for her to finally settle down in one area. The human disguise went off without a hitch save for her strange animalistic mannerisms that made the villagers force her into an abandoned hut on the outskirts once she inquired about possible habitations. During the day she'd keep her disguise up, passively feeding off the occasional energy of villagers expressing love to another, finding out their crop output was larger than usual that season, and a variety of other situations that would induce happiness in a person.
It'd be a few months until Philomina tried to take matters into her own hands and incite more happiness into her newly chosen hosts. However, with her true form, it did the exact opposite.
The villagers are under the presumption they're being terrorized weekly by a monster.
- uses the entirety of a village as her host.
- she has been blessed multiple times due to people throwing holy water on her thinking she's some kind of demon. They're not wrong, but she's not that kind of demon.
- tries to make people happy, over complicates it and makes people very unhappy with her attempts.
(i.e villagers complaining about wolves killing their livestock, in order to make them happy she kills all the livestock because if there's no livestock to lose, they can't feel sad.)
- A given, but people being happy. Besides feeding off of it as an energy source given her alignment, she just likes seeing joy on peoples faces.
- Jerrin. She will die for Jerrin.
- Pine cones. They're funny looking.

- Being forced into fighting. While she is quite adept at tailwhipping, she hates hurting others.
- Physical food - while she can stomach it and digest it much like anything else, she is not a huge fan of doing so. She'd much rather feed off emotional sources.
Initially a knight-in-training who was traveling the countryside before accepting his knight role fully, he was met by a disguised Philomina on a road heading into a small village. As he continued on his own and into the village, he was soon asked to hunt down the ''monster'' that had been plaguing the villagers when news came out he was a 'knight'. During his initial sleuthing Philomina would tag along, mainly out of curiosity. The two got along relatively well, however Jerrin was completely unaware Philomina was the ''monster'' he was hunting. Eventually Jerrin would express to her that all that would make him happy is to finally kill the ''monster'' so he could continue exploring. Philomina, who was now focusing on Jerrin's happiness, would eventually get cornered in a cave by a bunch of villagers. Jerrin would go in by himself and confront the so called 'monster', only to come to the realization the thing he was hunting was the very same person he began to adore.
The two would escape on horseback and spend their days camping out in nature.
The magni who found her and Jerrin passed out in the wintry landscape. She finds his lower bird half strange looking, and overall just a strange man in general. However, she is quite thankful for his aid.
As closest to a sibling as two chittercidas can get - the two share the same emotional alignment. Raeburn, however, is far more obnoxious than Philomina and when the two are in the same area - things can get pretty chaotic from the two attempting to generate emotions of their respective alignments.
