He was the leader of the demon village until he betrayed them and started the war between Demons and Humans. The war lasted a couple of months, and left Xias angry and weak. For starting the war and showing great signs of racism, he was punished and was sentenced to suffer in the Chamelia jungle... which was full of large voracious predators that wanted to prey on him. He was only strong enough to fight off all the predators periodically until he could find his way out of the forest, He made it, but wasn't without its scratches. He got out with a blind eye under a scar and a broken bone which causes him to limp badly. The poor old man has gotten what he deserves and now wishes for some help with his bones, blood, and health issues. Sadly, as long as he's in the demon village there will be no senior citizens house.
