- His favourite food is steak. He likes it rare, usually to the point of being questioned by those around him. He doesn't care about the cut or quality, he just wants something to sink his teeth into.
- Eating around him is a nightmare anyway, considering his awful table manners. Grabbing things with bare hands, talking with his mouth full, and using fingers instead of silverware make him a less than pleasant guest at dinners.
- Finding a toothbrush that can withstand dealing with his teeth for more than a few weeks is tough work, and he's gotten to the point of using specialized dog toothbrushes.
- The cologne he owns smells like sandalwood and white amber— though this is usually intermingled with the smell of cigarettes and smoke (if he even has the time and focus to apply it.)

Loyal and dedicated, Lev is a talented mercenary who would do anything to protect Ares and the rest of the syndicate. A strong survival instinct and the knowledge of 10,000 ways to kill a man have been beaten into him in his years of training under Ares. He still depends more on his words and agility than brute strength, in strong contrast to his mentor. He has an incredibly high pain tolerance (an a tendency for masochism), due to Ares's rough and torturous training regimen.
His self admitted goal is anarchy, brought on by his disdain for tradition, order, routine, and laws, and his actions are usually done “for the hell of it” or “for a laugh”. Despite his career path and tendency to place his personal freedom first, Lev refuses to hurt children, truly innocent civilians, and domestic animals. He has a surprisingly tender soft side, but as the story progresses he learns to hide it as to not appear weak.
Lev’s attitude is rowdy and untamed, and his manner of speaking reflects this; his most frequently used word is likely “fuck” and different variations of it, and his speech is tilted by a Brooklyn accent. Despite this, his vocabulary is littered with words that imply he is extremely well versed, and his honeyed words can sway anyone he catches off guard.
Though his outward appearance is that of a cocky, self absorbed individual, he struggles severely internally. Suffering from unstable self esteem, Lev’s worst enemy is himself. He despises his body, his actions, and his past. This self loathing causes his belief that he is undeserving of what he desires, as well as his tendencies for self destructive behaviours (from self harm, to jumping into deadly situations with a smile on his face).
Besides being a Blade, Lev lives a life with no long term aspirations or goals due to this method of thinking. His self destructive and ambitious traits tend to cause conflict, as he deeply wants things but does not believe he deserves them. Because of this, he is oblivious to Ares’s returned feelings until over a year into their partnership. His lack of self worth can sometimes display itself as selflessness, as he puts the wellbeing and feelings of others before his own.

Story
Origins
Starting as a scrappy anarchist in the streets of New York, Lev’s primary motivations were rioting, and to become a Blade. Known as The Hound by the government, had a cult following due to his charisma and idealistic motivations and has lived as a figure of notice for a year leading up to the start of the comic. This was never enough for him though, he knew that he wanted to change the world and that rioting, protesting, and fighting for what he thought was right wouldn’t get his name in history books. Lev’s history before the start of the story is left intentionally vague to direct the focus of his character to his actions as they happen rather than to excuse or enforce them through his past, and to emphasize his desire to have no attachment to his past. Even to Ares, he makes no mention of his family. It is shown through storytelling in vital moments that he faced recurring sexual abuse as a child, and he mentions that he has been medicated and hospitalized for acting out through his childhood and teenage years. His name stays unknown.
Playing The Game
For a year preceding the events of the comic, Lev befriended the bartenders at the New York Blades owned nightclub. Another year of research had gone into finding the club, and a year before that had been dedicated to researching becoming a Blade. Using his charisma and underworld connections, Lev milked what little knowledge he could about the secretive organization. He began doing favours, both of the criminal and domestic nature for the head bartender, gaining his favour and loosening his lips.
The Name of A Blade
September 18th, 198⬛, after three years of research and training, Lev decides to set his plan into action. Having decided that he would bypass the normal steps taken of being recruited by going through years of mercenary training and work, he completes one final favour for the bartender and challenges two Blades to a fight in the nightclub. After brutally defeating the two men, he is stopped by Ares who asks him his intentions. Lev says he is here to become a Blade, and that he likes to make an entrance before challenging Ares as well (not knowing he is the faction head he had been seeking). Ares beats him with ease, but is impressed by Lev’s tenacity, guts, and unpredictable fighting style. Because of this, he vouches for Lev’s character and has him conscripted into the Blades under strict conditions.
