Doctor Alain J. BK, otherwise know as Dr. J, is a fan character appearing in the Rhythm Doctor universe. He works as an intern at Middlesea Hospital.
Alain is a man in his mid twenties with light skin, shoulder length brown hair that's attached to a half-ponytail and brown eyes. He wears a light blue-ish purple turtleneck, blue pants attached with a black and silver belt, brown shoes and of course a long white lab coat, of which the sleeves are rolled up. He wears pink gold glasses; the frame is shaped so the arch is only on the top half, the lens being held by a string from the bottom.
Often, Alain is seen as an optimistic and outgoing person. He's always down to get into position and help the team and the patients with whatever issues they might have. He loves socializing as well. He's also fairly smart, and has great puzzle-solving skills. However, he sometimes has his nervous and stressed periods of time; where he might mess up his tasks (not at an alarming degree thankfully) and getting scolded by Edega for his behavior.
During his childhood, he was more of an artistic guy; with dreams of being an artist, maybe a singer, heck - even an architect, occasionally wanting to be an English teacher, art aside! He had plenty ideas for such occupations for his future. He also was pretty into technology as he grew up, often seen on his computer, and loves videogames, hence why he was planning on majoring in computer science after school.
Everything was great! Until, shortly before graduating high school, he unfortunately had to witness the passing of his ill sibling, with whom he was very close and cared so much for. This death made him wish he had the skills to prevent such events, especially in his family, and so he decided to go against his hobbies and interests, and took a step into the medical world. He was determined and perseverant, albeit poorly as he went through multiple obstacles, because he shrugged off how tiresome med school could be for him and was focused solely on reaching his goal. His graduation was close to a fail.
Despite his performance in medical school, he was thankfully accepted for an internship at Middlesea Hospital! He went through a few hiccups at first, but he got the hang of his position quite fast. Of course, he's gotten gradually closer to the staff, and soon to the patients. He's doing great!...or is he?
* Nicole Ting
Alain and Nicole met during his break, at the local cafeteria, and first chatted over some hot chocolate. They surely got closer, especially since Alain is often seen treating SVT patients. However, there are times where he finds himself going through a whole different feeling around her. But he prefers not to think about it too much, especially when it's against his work policy to get intimately closer to patients, also because he notices her close with someone else. But he can't help the fluttering in his chest when she's around...
* Dr. Ada Paige
His coworker. She was the first person to know well during his first few days at the hospital, especially when he was more nervous and somewhat reserved. Initially had feelings for her, but realized they were purely platonic. He cares about her a lot, and feels empathetic when he sees her tired and overworked.
* Dr. Ian
Another coworker of his. They share a few things in common such as their interest in technology and games. They hang out from time to time together in the basement. Borderline best friends!
* Dr. Gabriel Edega
His boss. He feels increasingly nervous around him, especially when he often gets scolded for his occasional poor performance. Often gets bad vibes from him, and tries to avoid him at all cost. Sometimes likes to talk about him behind his back and mock him.
* Cole Brew
Somewhat of a frenemy. He initially liked his vibes and style, as well as his music. But soon he began feeling jealous around him as he noticed his close bond with Nicole.
* Sof (OC)
His colleague, but also a really good friend of his! They're pretty close and often like hanging out together during breaks and things of the like. Oftentimes, they talk about their crushes to each other as well.
* Lucia Moon
A patient of his like any other, but he does enjoy spending time with her at the art room on his free time! As they're both artists, they get along pretty well, having a few things in common. She does remind him of a certain someone, however...

- His last name being BK (which are the creator's/my last name initials) is pronounced like "Becca", the letters basically pronouned in French. It is a pun/wordplay for the natural notes in french being "bécarre", AKA when a musical note isn't sharp nor flat, and instead returns to its original pitch; example is D natural, being "Ré bécarre". Its symbol is ♮.
- His middle name does in fact start with a J, but he doesn't feel comfortable enough revealing it. He chooses to say it's "Jay", also to make it easier for non French speakers to say it correctly.
- He prefers being called by a nickname or Jay instead of his first name, mostly to avoid the awkward mispronunciation of the [ɛ̃] sound (Al"ain").
- He had to repeat a year during his experience in med school due to his poor performance and lack of motivation which caused him to fall behind and his grades to drop. He's still surprised he somehow got accepted for the internship.
