About
Backstory
Part of the golden team of disassembly drones, saved for the most special of missions, 'Blanc' worked hard on the far off vacation planet Indigo 4 to wipe out the now malfunctioning worker drones that staffed the many resorts. Unbeknownst, at least to him, I4 also featured a secret underground lab, much like the one on Copper 9, and within it was a very special 'Status Resolve' key that his fellow teammates were sent to collect. Unfortunately, Rouge, who'd been following a lead, got there first and was attempting to take a stand against the murder drones. Having been separated from the other two, 'Blanc' was the last one to find her, and due to a series of failed actions- without any other options, Rouge slammed the Status Resolve into his processor.
Despite only having a small, limited piece of the Solver in him- that even he didn't know about- the patch contained within the key both split him from Cyn's influence- and broke free the limiters on the Solver, granting him full access to its abilities. With only a moment to take in this very sudden clarity he didn't even know he was missing, he accidentally killed J and V who were disoriented from Rouge getting the jump on them prior. Needing answers, he managed to apprehend Rouge, who didn't hesitate to tell him the truth: Serial Designation N had died at least 5 times that she knew of. And she'd been responsible for 2 of those deaths.
Personality
Blanc keeps a steady head and open demeanor, though he has no qualms with using underhanded methods to protect both himself and Rouge. Unless he's been provoked though, he'll remain a passive and arguably friendly face.
Unless directly confronted with Cyn, that is.
He may not have any qualms about only being a copy from a long lost drone, but the acts Cyn has committed against those at least some version of him cared about trigger the powerful violent rage that she had given him in the first place.
Trivia
- Blanc doesn't like being called N, and only makes an exception for Rouge. He sees being "N" as being Cyn's plaything.
- Cyn believes that this variant had simply died like the other two when she lost connection to him due to the Status Resolve.
- Because he was built from the ground up with the Solver, Blanc shows no organic signs of mutation like infected worker drones. The ability to use it also came far more naturally to him.
Relationships
Rouge • Partner
Even though they started off on the wrong foot, once Rouge tried to console him over losing his friends and what he was, the overall relief he felt thanks to these actions made it easy for his friendly core to forgive her. He typically keeps to the background of her plans, more interested in letting her have the catharsis of revenge than he is himself, just doing what he can to support her. However, his resolve is wavering as the realization of just how far she may push herself is beginning to sink in.
Cyn • Enemy
Though he isn't the one actively seeking to destroy her, Blanc absolutely wants to kill Cyn. His hatred for her is strong and burning, and a rage that he's less than capable of controlling the more he sees and learns of what she's done. Up until the end of the Gala, Blanc's memories are without question N's, meaning his adoration of Tessa as his friend- as part of his family- is still very genuine and very strong in his core. And he's not happy knowing what Cyn did to Tessa.
Disassembly Drone
Blanc, upon receiving the Resolve, had his internal colour shift to white, as it would have been prior to Cyn's meddling. A pastime he practices with the solver is colour editing, often using his own lights to test it. He also makes frequent use of the Solver to adjust his attire, such as attaching a hood to his coat.
Knowing that his existence is a trump card against Cyn, there's an effort to be made to keep him out of sight from any other backups of Cyn's, he's made sure to present himself as visually different as he can, but is fine with returning to his roots if it means protecting Rouge.
In fights, he rarely switches his servos anymore, usually utilizing the Solver to make use of his environment. He also tends to use his wings as a way to make easily launchable projectiles by pulling off the blades.
