Lestat

Technomancy Online is a MMORPG where no one has logged in or out in a thousand years. The Old Mods are dead and forgotten, and in the absence of modly intervention, a dangerous glitched status has started spreading. You can contract it if killed by someone who has it, and it makes your character nearly unkillable, at the cost of being able to interact with the game normally. Corrupted characters that ARE killed do not respawn.

"Lestat" (short for "less than STÅt" since <§TÅtḴ̱̺͙|k̢╈̦|͇͚ is hard to pronounce) is a mage who contracted the Glitched Status intentionally as a joke almost a thousand years ago, meaning he's one of the few people who hasn't died and respawned since the Old Mods' disappearance. He has vague memories of things being different, but it's been a long time.

Awkward and wary, Lestat's corrupted code means he breaks almost everything he touches, and he keeps his distance from other players, tired of being hunted as a dangerous monster. Cowardice has kept him alive so far, and he'd generally rather save his own skin than embark on a mysterious quest, but... he does want to help.
