Technomancy Online is a MMORPG where no one has logged in or out in a thousand years. Whenever they respawn, most players find their previous run of the game feels far away, distant, and hard to recall, and the natural course of life and death means the Old Mods and the way things used to be are long forgotten, with the players setting up their own society in their absence.

Which makes it all very strange when a young warrior somehow logged in for the first time in years, bearing the symbol of the Old Mods in her name.

Maarika was killed shortly after entering the game, so the usual respawn amnesia means she doesn't remember how she got into the game or, perhaps more importantly, why. She's very sure she was doing something important, and Lestat is insistent that the symbol in her name is very important, but you know, that just makes figuring it out an exciting mystery!
