As a child, Amis loved reading magic books and had more interest in reading under the shade of trees than going out and playing. Had somehow gotten his hands on a tome that taught one how to summon a demon and by following along the instructions he successfully summoned Beelzebub. This summoning also made him the sole cause of the decimation of his village, leaving only him and his older brother to fend for themselves.
After drifting around and saving up both him and his older brother managed to save up enough for the airship fare to Rachel where they stayed for the rest of their childhood.
Is a bit cynical and can get rather jaded easily. Currently trying to view the world in a more positive outlook and be more positive in turn. He still slips up often, unfortunately.
- Secretly likes to sleep in, but forces himself to get up in the mornings to make breakfast and do chores around the house
- Likes to listen to Cae when heβs reading aloud
- Very bad persuasive skills
- Snaps his staff in half when he gets Really Angry at someone/something
- Dies so often that he takes it as something normal
- Hairstyle used to not have one eye covering, but he did so hoping Bee won't recognize him, didnβt work so now he just keeps it that way out of habit
- Book smart: Reads at a rather fast pace without losing any knowledge of the things he is reading.
- Magic Proficiency: has a good grasp on all the basic elements, but they are nowhere near perfection. His preferred elements are ice and lightning, which he has a far better understanding of.
- Hellβs Language: A side effect of his successful summoning of a high ranking demon, Amis can understand the speech of devils and demons even if they are not speaking the language of Rune Midgarts. Most likely given to him by Beelzebub.
- Cooking: As a necessity that turned into a side hobby, heβs excessively good at cooking.
- Household Chores: rank EX. jk.
- Heliodore: Amisβ older brother. Someone that Amisβ cherishes with all his heart. Doesnβt find any fault in his brotherβs shortcomings and things that Heliodore is fine the way he is. Sort of sees him through his own filter (Niisan Filter). Sort of like how Rem views Ram in re:zero, Amis willingly takes on any burdens and does everything that he thinks Heliodore would have trouble accomplishing (mainly doing things around the house).
Amisβ biggest fear is his brother one day remembering everything or finding out the truth about what happened to their village. Often has nightmares about this. Feels that he should distance himself from his brother because of this, but can never bring himself to do it. - Caernes:Β Amisβ childhood friend, whom he and Heliodore met after they had moved to Rachel. Met him in the ice dungeon when he was being attacked by a Gazeti. Had no real plans of getting along with him at first and preferred that him and Heli not run into him often, but because Heli wanted to befriend him he naturally stuck around too. Eventually he came to see Caernes as someone he could trust, even with his own past. Appreciates that Cae didn't shun him when Amis told him about his past. Amisβ first crush. Doesn't believe that he deserves love for all he's done so he has no thoughts on confessing first. A person he can trust to look after his brother, would anything happen to him, himself.
