Carrick is the oldest son of King Arden and Queen Lisbet. He was 10 at the time of the queen's death and Caterine's birth.

Carrick is stern and stoic. He can be a bit short tempered, and quick to act without really planning ahead. He is very protective of his brothers and strives to keep them together as a family. He remembers his childhood very well and longs for a return to those times. He is devoted to the memory of his human mother, and is very bitter toward King Arden and his demon mother for ruining his life.

MAGIC AND EXPERTISE

Cuckoo demons require life energy from the dark realm (called magic in the human world) to be able to take on their host parents' form. If their host mother is exposed to other magical energies while they're being incubated it will influence the form their personal magic talents will take. Because the brothers were incubated within Queen Lisbet they can change into humans, or as close to it as possible based on how much magic they have gathered and stored within themselves. Queen Lisbet knew all this, and when she was carrying each of the brothers, she took a regimen of different magical herbs and potions make sure they each would have strong personal magic and appear to be mages, as expected of the royal bloodline.

Carrick's personal magic is offensive and defensive power. He can manipulate life energy to form projectiles or force fields. To augment this he's trained in weapons and is a solid sword man and archer so he doesn't have to rely on his magic and wast his energy. He tries not to use his magic if possible as he sees it as a reminder of him not being human.

Carrick refuses to go into his true bird form unless he has no other choice. His humanoid form looks almost normal with a few bird-like traits. The skin on his hands and feet up to mid forearm and mid calf is tough and wrinkled like birds legs and he has claws on both hands and feet instead of nails. He also has very small feathers running down his spine to his tail bone where he sports a very small tail.

STORY

Carrick travels the country with his brothers, working as a demon hunter. He will also work as a mercenary if needed.
