Michael: "Hey, Louie. My kid's been telling me that your boys were quite the trouble makers during their school days."

"Haha, really? I wouldn't know because the school had never called me about such a thing. Kibo and Shinko are quite the rascals sometimes."

Michael: "Mm... Makes me wonder where they've gotten it from. Say, what if there was a little birdie that told me that you were even worse than your twins back in your school years?"

"Michael. It's perfectly fine for you to be quite eager to learn more about me. In fact, I'm quite delighted that you want to. However, some questions are better left unasked."

Michael: "I-I'm sorry. I won't ask again."

• Lu is formidably tall.
  > 6'9" - Taller than his two boys who are already fully grown even when they wear heels.
  > Though his build is slightly skinnier than the average athletic man, he has tremendous strength for a man in his age.
• Always fiddling with something in his hands.
  > Most likely fiddling with his wedding ring.
  > Not surprised that he has attempted playing with a fidget spinner or fidget cube at some point.
  > Has a habit of folding paper, twisting tissues/napkins, and playing with his tie.
  > Does origami when he's bored.
• Loves to pick up his two children and carry them under his arms since they were children.
  > Literally still does this even if he's like in his late 40s-50s and his children are fully grown adults.
• A prodigy child in musical instruments.
  > His parents started off with him playing the erhu and mastered during his elementary years.
  > Mastered the Guzheng not long after.
  > Parents demanded that he focused more on traditional Chinese instruments and therefore he did all throughout high school. So far he's mastered about six traditional instruments.
  > Taught himself the piano. The piano is now the only instrument that he enjoys playing.
• Doesn't like his family. Has deep hatred for his brother.
  > Like his two children, he and his only brother are twins. (It probably runs in the family)
  > Hated his brother since childhood, who was the complete opposite.
  > During his singing career, he was charged for murder and sexual assault. Lu was somehow framed and it was likely that his twin brother committed the crimes. Thankfully, Michael discovered it and sent his brother to prison and cleared Louie's name.

  > Lu claims them to be officially in a relationship, but as of right now it's one-sided love.
  > Michael is the only one that calls him "Louie."
• He made his fame through his singing career
  > Occasionally did acting and modeling with his wife.
  > Pursued jazz music and traditional pop.
  > Was considered the "Frank Sinatra" throughout all of Asia. His songs inspired him to sing.
• Does not and will never enjoy speaking about his past.
  > His background is completely unknown even when he was famous.
  > Will suddenly shift to a much more unpleasant demeanor if pushed any further.
• Goes to Faith's restaurant almost every single day for a meal.
  > Always drinks a cup of tea, eats a tremendous amount of rice, and will eat anything that Faith serves him.
• Knows Grandfather
  > Grandfather is a fan of his music, has encountered him several times when he moved to America.
  > Doesn't know about his connection to the Prodigal.
• Cannot drive anywhere if there's no music playing.

Personality

A kind-hearted man at best, Lu is one who is often positive as he is wise. Most of the time, he seems to act as a bit of a charmer, but deep down shows a brilliant mind with intellect that matches up to much of the Kirisawa family. Lusu also often acts much more of a "good sport" towards others, and rarely phased by anything that comes his way is often a note towards his aged-yet-wise mind.
Compared to his children, friends, or peers, Lusu is one who takes music more seriously, deeming it to be the most beneficial to one's mind and talents in the future. Kirisawa looks to the younger generation, more specifically his two children and Michael's kids as well, with phrase and hope in order to succeed his prowess in the future.

Something about his past greatly affects his manners, unfortunately. Being pushed to speak of his childhood, let alone his brother could cause him to snap. He will constantly change the subject or refrain from speaking about them. Otherwise, if failed, his demeanor switches instantly, causing him to become short-tempered, devious, devilishly calm and dangerous. All of these characteristics exactly describes his twin brother, whom Lu is habitually trying to show as to why no one should bring up the past.

BackStory

Kirisawa was born middle class in China, but later moved to Japan due to his father's job. Even at a young age, he felt pressured to spend most of his time on extra, after-school activities such as learning several different instruments in order to satisfy his parent's expectation of a talented child.
His parents were proud of Lu's success and often flaunted the child around to his parent's friends or peers to ease their happiness. Yet, no one outside of the family has ever noticed that Lusu had a twin brother since birth. His only brother, had been neglected and completely forgotten even if he lived with them this whole time. Out of concern, Lu took care of Ming until their teenage years. Because of his parents' neglectful behavior towards Ming, his brother has been a troublemaker when they entered middle school. At high school, he watched his brother go through a multitude of suspensions and eventually expulsion and soon after he was kicked out of the household.

He always worried about his brother he'd always try to support him by handing him his meals every once in a while or kept him company. But, Ming was Lu's biggest problem in his childhood and teenage years. Being identical twins, Lusu struggled quite a bit as his twin used him as a scapegoat. There were days where he was almost beaten to death, or perhaps sent to the police due to his carelessness. Eventually he discovered that his brother becoming part of the Yakuza, the biggest indication that it was time to leave his home and away from his family.

He traveled around as a musician until he was scouted by a renown producer in Japan. Without even hesitating he accepted his contract and Lusu became a legendary figure all throughout the country and then the whole continent. His several trips and constantly traveling, he found himself falling in love with a woman in Korea and made the best decision to remain committed to her and married her right away.
During Kisung's pregnancy, the police had believed that Kirisawa was part of the Yakuza - accused of murder, assault, and several other charged - which widely affected his reputation as a celebrity. All within a day or two he was at his downfall until an American detective took the case and resolved it in no time. Announcing that the Yakuza were framing Lusu since he and his brother were identically alike, the police properly fixed up the situation and thrown his twin brother in jail for lifetime. He had little to no attention to his twin brother, because Kisung finally gave birth to a beautiful pair of twins right after he was proven innocent.

He considered continuing his career, but he realized even after the case with his brother, his lifestyle of fame and glory wouldn't be the same. When the public discovered his identical twin being part of the Yakuza, it had already damaged too much of his celebrity identity. Therefore he decided to give up pursuing fame and settled down into retirement from singing just to care for his twins and wife who fallen ill.

Relationships

Michael  [ Best Friend | Significant Other (?) ]

Lu is in debt to Michael and how he saved his life after the world discovered his twin brother and his connections to the Yakuza. And since then, he found himself supporting Michael after his divorce (and after Kisung's passing). The longer they've been together, the musician began to have one-sided feelings for this harsh and grumpy father. Mike doesn't show it, but Kirisawa can tell that he's thankful and perhaps share the same feelings as Lu's?

Kibo (Hope) [ Son ]

The father is quite surprised how amazingly well he is in... practically everything! Though Lu never forced Hope into learning how to play an instrument or follow a singing career, he seemed willing and quite a natural on anything he could get his hands on. When the kids' mother passed away at the age of 8, Hope suddenly withdrew from pursuing a child singing career and decided to focus everything on instruments and his studies. Soon after Hope was founded by the Prodigal and allowed he and his twin brother to graduate at an early age and fly to America to continue their education in a University. Their followed them to see if he can settle down there peacefully.

Shinko (Faith) [ Son ]

Lu named the twins Hope and Faith while they were still in their mother's belly, a fitting name for when he was proven innocent for the false accusations that could possibly ruin his career. And since their birth, the twins became the father's biggest priority. When his wife died, Faith also did follow his brother and pursued an education but his achievements were nothing compared to Hope's. However, Shinko eventually found his love for cooking as Lu introduced him to it and decided to pursue culinary career and open up a restaurant for his father to come to everyday.

Kisung [ Wife ]

A beautiful woman, model, singer and actress. Lusu was head over heels for her when they first met and got together when they first collaborated on a song together. And without fail, Kirisawa sought every opportunity to try and marry her. With success, they've married and toured together all throughout Asia until Kisung was pregnant. They jumped constantly between China and Japan then stayed in Tokyo after the birth of the twins. The worst happened unfortunately after giving birth - her health deteriorated quite quickly and died a few years later.
