- Has the same build as his eldest son; tall and musclar, and his face is more defined and squared.
- His facial hair is a 5 o'clock shadow. Has white streaks on the frontal part of his hair and some parts at the rest of it.
- His eyes are hazel gray.
- Ransford is a middle aged man with a worn out, irritable face. Very scruffy with very noticeable face wrinkles and his eyebrows are almost always furrowed. He never smiles unless he's with his kids.
- Always wearing a brown coat over his suit, regardless of the weather.
- Also wears a dress shirt and a tie that always seems to match with Chanse's shirt.
- Has either a cigarette in his mouth or in his hand.
Proud, but still acts a bit indifferent of his "Lucky" title, Detective Ransford is a daring man of justice in the Homicide division who finds himself working against impossible odds even when he never asked for them in the first place. He thinks that the cases he takes are a necessary means of the force and can only see death on the other side of it. Therefore, he strives to find satisfaction whilst in his job, resisting the inevitable for a future of his family. He is considerably more solemn, cautious, but more importantly angry at anything that tries to interact with him.
Although he doesn't care much for his own safety, he does care deeply for his family. Should he die in an accident or in one of his cases, he sometimes uses his final words to plea for the immunity of his family, requesting that only he himself be held responsible for his actions. After he had a divorce with his wife, he highly regards his children as his treasures and the reason for coming home.
- Michael's tie always matches with Chanse's shirt. He loves his son. He also got Chanse into playing guitar, which was one of Michael's very few hobbies when he got the time.
- Chanse is his eldest child. His younger children are quadruplets: Mikael, Mark, Max, and Mason.
- Michael survived many of his cases throughout his years in the Homicide team, and he continues to work with them even now. Many of his coworkers admire his strength, but Ransford was just really fortunate and lucky when it comes this. He is in complete denial.
- He's a fantastic shot and boasts about it; he's just really lucky and sometimes has no idea what he's doing.
- His current case involves the Milkman. Unfortunately, this was the longest case he's been working with.
- Ransford's favorite day of the year is father's day; even more than his own Birthday.
- Been in a relationship with Hope's father for years but is too afraid to tell their kids about it.

A man with a normal lifestyle with a family in America. Michael finds himself following his mother's footsteps in working with the Force. However, he also wanted to explore the world during his college years and decided to study abroad in Japan. And since then, Ransford fell in love with the country and a woman that eventually gave birth to his children; he figured he'd spend his time there for a while,
- Michael was already experienced in cases due to his mother. The team he worked with in Japan had him investigate a murder case, involving a famous musician and his twin brother. (Hope's father, Lusu and his twin brother). It didn't take forever for him to reach to the resolution to this case, but Lusu became Michael's best friend afterwards.
- The detective never expected that he and his wife would bear a set of quadruplets. And around this time, the relationship with his wife were already tense and his wife eventually left him because he often tired himself from work and spent most of the time tending to their children.
- Ransford moved back to America when Chanse was studying in University there, once after his son was undergoing emotional issues. Despite his older age, he continues to work with the force in the U.S. He's worked with a few homicidal cases before he decided to take up the Milkman case.

Michael risks his whole life for Chanse and his brothers. He moved back to America out of concern for Chanse after his attempted suicide. The father calls his son practically everyday and checks up on his mental health, as well as what color shirt he's wearing.
Also known as Hope's father. Lusu has been Michael's friend for a long while, and their relationship was as close as their kids' friendship. Since Michael's divorce and the death of Kirisawa's wife that left him as a lonely widow, they've supported each other and plan to keep it that way until death.
Michael has been going after this case ever since he moved back to America. The Milkman is a clever enemy, hence why Michael struggles in identifying the Milkman's identity for the longest time. Ironically, Michael casually finds Matias in his civilian outfit and never suspected Pierce as a suspect, but as a friend.
