At a Glance
"I am as crystal's reflection in the rays of moonlight. I am the secrets creased in the lines of palms, the prophecy held in gilded cards; the scent of oil and incense; the energy hidden in jewel and bone. Find my essence in the shimmer of silk and the subtle pull of the planchette." - Flavor from the design creator
Created by the will of the Ascendant of Fate, this Daimon sheathes themselves in mystery and travels the many pearls in search of those with interesting fates. Be it through tarot card, planchette, crystal ball, or otherwise their readings are unmistakably accurate and can easily cause as much woe as foresight. However, there are still those brave enough to seek the daimon's skills or power and they are happy to oblige for a cost.

Inventory
Tarot Deck
Arcana's deck is exceptionally magical and holds great power. Unfortunately... an incident with another daimon has left their deck scattered and lost. They will go to great lengths to retrieve them, being left with only The Fool card from their deck.
Bottomless Bag
Though it looks simple enough, Arcana's bag has a deceptively large holding space for appearing so small. Supposedly infinite and definitely made with magic.
Apparel
Also bound in magic are the daimon's clothes. They hold protective and illusive properties that help them stay safe and hidden (As well as very stylish).
Planchette
Stashed among the many knickknacks on their person, is a small crystalline planchette. They use this to speak with spirits and see things through the eye of it that would otherwise be hidden.
Lair
A small and mysterious cottage that travels on what look to be giant legs (usually hidden beneath the house when dormant) to anywhere the daimon wills it to. It is covered in colorful cloth, the rich scent of incense, and an evergrowing display of curiosities and crystals. Depending on where the cottage travels, the legs can change into different forms such as wings for the open aether or fins for underwater travel.
Summary
Watching the weave of fate craft its course, Arcana was mostly an observer. They watched as the fates and fortunes of mortals went on and on; even lending their aid to those they deemed worthy or interesting enough. Anyone that could grab Arcana's attention could be shown where their fate would take them, though very few of these were glad for the knowledge. The knowing always brought trouble but it never stopped anyone from wanting to know anyhow. For a long time they travelled alone, and fancied themselves fine with that. However, there came a time when a mortal Arcana offered to give a fortune to denied it. It began a burn of curiosity in the daimon that eventually lead to a close friendship between the two. For the first time, Arcana read someone's fortune without express permission and what they found haunted them. Their friend was soon to die. Even for a mortal, their life would be cut short. In every way they could, Arcana tried to stall and stop the death, but fate could not be denied.
Full of hurt and longing, Arcana attempted to steal the soul of the mortal back in hopes they might be able to turn them into a daimon themselves and grant them eternal life. This plan went sour when the Daimon of the Wings of Death intervened. Arcana had overstepped their bounds in meddling with the dead, and as punishment, had their magical deck scattered, and themselves set on a journey they were loathe to take.
Asteria
[ Friends ]
Arcana has known Asteria for some time, mostly as their tailor but also to trade magical goods and information. They have a slowburn friendship that took a while to develop.
Fern
[ Friends ]
A young and naive daimon, Acane met Fern while searching for her lost cards. The two quickly became friends, though Fortuna is wary at best of the company their friend keeps.
Volke
[ Allies/Friends ]
Being in similar situations, Fortuna empathizes with Volke and hopes they can help one another. Through him she came to understand her punishment was quite minor in comparison.
