Reimfred, the prince of Wesales, is the first and only son of the monarchs of his kingdom. He is well-renowned for his charm and grace, but he often fears that the praise of him is undeserved, laid upon by those who covet his favour, or at the very least, those enamoured of his fine looks—a possibility that he secretly scorns. Beauty is such a subjective and fleeting quality, he feels, that if all his worth lies in that, then he has none at all. Thus, he works his hardest every day to earn merit outside of his inherent aesthetics and lesson-wrought poise. Still, this is not to say that he does not make the most of what he was born with, now and then.Though Reimfred was the first son born to his parents, he was not the first child. His elder sister, Helewys, is first in the line of succession to the throne, but Reimfred is not bitter about this. His only lofty goals are for the betterment of himself, not for seizing power, and he will do whatever he can to support his sister in whatever role she chooses.
He loves to love and be loved, when that love is true. Many think him foolish to claim that he can love as many as he does at once, but it's no ruse. When he finds those who cherish him for who he is, and not what he can give them, he is stubborn to let them go—indeed his stark stubbornness is perhaps his greatest flaw. Still, his heart is most usually in the right place, so it is difficult to truly find fault.
