Phaedre

A hopeless old romantic in a stern matriarch's shoes, Queen Phaedre of Wesales is hailed as a just and beloved ruler, strong in principle and wise if often quixotic. Since taking the throne some three decades ago, she, with the help of her many trusted advisors, has helped to maintain the kingdom of Wesales as a bastion of security and wealth, extending aid and serving as a beacon for surrounding nations. Under her rule, the expansionist directives undertaken by previous generations of rulers have been stalled, to focus on strengthening the kingdom's current position. It is safe to say that Wesales today is thriving, thanks to Phaedre's direction.

Phaedre herself is kind, with a dry and cutting sense of humor. She has always been known as a beauty, and there is no doubting that her children inherited her charm and good looks. Helewys, her eldest and heir, is wise and elegant, and Phaedre is confident that she will make a strong ruler, once Phaedre wishes to retire. Reimfred, her second, is beloved by many, and though at times she worries over his dallying, he is hard-working when it comes to brass tacks. Areagne, her third and youngest, still has much growing to do, she is the apple of the court's eye, and has some hidden talents that have yet to truly blossom. With her legacy secure and the future of her kingdom bright, in recent years Phaedre has come to spend more time at hobbies, when politics haven't claimed her attention. She is fond of art and story and music, and known to be a great patron to creative circles in the kingdom. She is also a fervid dancer, known to take the hand of even palace servants when it comes to royal balls.

With a good head on her shoulders, and the loyalty of her people as her sword and shield, Phaedre will continue to lead Wesales down a golden path until the day she grows too weary.
