Even in SYNC, Prisma is still shy and reserved, and many don't approach. He has gotten somewhat better still, it feels less daunting to him knowing he's surrounded by people who (mostly) adore Melody like he does. He's a bit of a jokester when you really get to know him, but only Digit, Malware and Melody has seen that side of him.
Prisma always found it hard to connect to people, whether it be his peers at school or his parents at home. It seemed to his parents that all they were to do was to make sure he was surviving, at at times he barely was. They were a working family, Prisma spending the most time with his Mom due to her schedule. She was awfully negligent, often leaving it up to Prisma to remind her to feed him, or his Dad when he got home.
Though Prisma was somewhat socially inept (and a kid), he began to connect the fights he’d hear his parents have sometimes on days she failed to take care of him. He couldn’t understand the why just yet, so he began to blame himself for the fights and stopped complaining. He instead turned his attention to time wasters, any form of entertainment that could distract him.
The moment Prisma found Melody, that's just what he became for Prisma, his escape. Hours of content he could watch to fill his time and his empty heart. To him, Melody was the friend he needed who understood and cared for him. Prisma’s admiration grew into elaborate daydreams, detailed scenarios in which he and Melody shared a unique bond, like a close friend or mentor. These fantasies became a daily escape, offering Prisma the comfort he couldn’t find elsewhere.
Online, Prisma joined fan spaces where he could explore and share his fantasies of Melody. Though shy and a bit reserved with other fans, he would occasionally share fan fiction, art, or theories of scenarios in which he and Melody interacted personally, almost as if they knew each other. His content always implied a deeper connection, portraying Melody as a figure who cared about him on a level that bordered on personal. Melody, in turn, encouraged this loyalty, engaging with Prisma’s content in small but significant ways that fed his hope that he really was special to Melody.
Within SYNC, his dreams of connecting with Melody have come to life. Melody’s attention, even if brief, has amplified his feelings, making him feel like his fantasies have finally materialized. This sense of belonging to Melody’s world has anchored him, giving him a strong motivation to remain fiercely loyal and resistant to anything or anyone that might pull him away. Every interaction, no matter how minor, feels monumental, strengthening the fantasy he’s built around his connection with Melody.
