| Personality | She's serious, humorless, and proper. Peony is, by all appearances, a spoiled, pampered kittypet. She's well-groomed, and frightened of the outdoors. She steers clear of forest cats and other animals, and often tells others in her circle about how barbaric the warrior clans are. She's been constantly on-edge since her parents were left dead on her doorstep, murdered by her father's warrior ex. On bad days, she is paranoid and jumpy, worried she will be next, and she struggles to get close to anyone in fear of losing them violently. However, Peony holds an adventurous heart under her perfect pelt, and yearns to conquer her fear, explore the wilderness, and maybe even fulfill her dream of teaching the feral cats how to be civilized. While she admittedly does not know why they do not simply stop hurting others, being quite sheltered herself, she is quite clever, and believes that she could help. She is curious by nature, but knows what happens to curious cats... | |
| History | Peony's father Todd had three kittens from his other relationship, who were only a moon older than Peony, and had been given to him to raise. He claimed he'd had a crazy girlfriend that he had finally managed to leave, and that he didn't know why he'd been given the kids. Her mother Lillie wanted to raise them all, but her father was quick to leave Dew with SolarClan, and Bull a few weeks later, not wanting anything to do with his ex. Bumble was the last one left, but their humans did a better job of keeping them shut in the house for a while, so Bumble was in the house for the first five moons of Peony's life, but the humans also kept them apart. Todd preferred to keep them separated even after the humans stopped separating them, because he hadn't told Peony that he was her brother so that she wouldn't get attached and didn't want to be called out on his lie. Peony was kept content by the humans and their many games, so she didn't concern herself much with the boy in the basement, and never knew of his two littermates. After Bumblepaw was sent to SolarClan, he relayed the truth about Jaysnow to Lillie, who went to talk to him. Jaysnow ended up killing Todd and Lillie, and left their bodies on the doorstep, which Peony saw. She was only a kit when that happened, and she developed a fear of the outdoors and clan cats, not really having the full context of what had happened. She was even afraid of Bumblepaw when she next saw him, which signaled to him to never show his face around her house again. After losing five other cats, Peony's humans devoted all their attention to her, but she quickly grew antsy. She wanted to go on an adventure, but she was scared. | |
