Physical Appearance

Clothing Style

Zavian tends to have a rather semi-professional look when not in the field, consisting of primarily black tops and pants with subtle dark blue accents and sometimes gold buttons or fasteners. In the field he has a similar aesthetic, although it's more casual and focused on durability and mobility. The region he's currently in while working for the guild is primarily temperate and warm, so he doesn't really bundle up unless the mission calls for it in another region. While in town he tends to wear lighter button up tops with the sleeves rolled up along with a vest, and in the field he tends to wear a jacket instead of a vest, although he tends to leave it unbuttoned/unfastened due to the climate. He usually wears simple pants, usually black or blue, and shin high black boots with yellow straps, and he'll usually have some kind of backpack/satchel that isn't too loose or impeding so it has a lower chance of catching on anything while traveling/on a mission. He'll usually wear black backless gloves when working in the field for the guild, sometimes fingerless, but when doing more sensitive work for his real job, he'll wear regular black gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints.

Personality

Zavian is a cool headed, somewhat severe covert agent for an international smuggling ring. He has a calculating mind and acts opportunistically, only aiding others if beneficial to him or necessary for his mission. He tends to keep a level head and calm demeanor when things are going smoothly, but he can be a touch short tempered when things go wrong, specifically when it's not due to uncontrollable factors but because of human interference. He tends to distance himself from emotional attachments due to his job and often dodges personal questions. Despite this, he comes off as very easy to talk to, since he is a rather helpful and reliable person on the outside when undercover. Most people tend to place their trust in him due to his reputation and his track record of always coming through for his partners/team members. However once his true mission is completed he will disappear without a trace with no regard to who he leaves behind.

Ever since becoming Aelita's mentor he has softened up a bit. He is a bit harsh with her in terms of what he will and will not let her attempt since she's vital to his mission, and he can get rather annoyed with her stubborn attitude. Nevertheless he protects her viciously and will often implore her to stay out of the way for her own safety, even if his own life is in peril. However, she is not very keen on obeying him and will often come to his aid against his wishes, which to his dismay has started to win him over.

• Short tempered, doesn't open up personally, and it is hard to tell what is genuine about him and what is part of his facade
• Fully dedicated to completing his assignments regardless of personal risk, so his sense of self preservation is questionable
• Underneath his serious and competent outer demeanor, he lacks self esteem and doesn’t particular like himself as a person

Backstory

Not much is known about Zavian's past, yet he has been a long time agent of the largest smuggling ring across Memoira. Even the members at the top of the ring's hierarchy hold him in high regard, and the founder seems very familiar and chummy with him. Zavian specializes in retrieving elusive and rare items for the market by any means necessary, yet few outside the ring know of his reputation due to his covert nature of his work. 

His current assignment has him infiltrating a largely sucessful mercenary guild that investigates new lands in exploratory expeditions along with doing missions out in these newly charted lands for pay. Zavian is currently viewed as a high ranked member and frequently uses his authority to smuggle loot from their expeditions and remove any members that dig too deeply into the situation. 

However, upon finding an amnesiac woman washed up on the beach and the guild involving themselves in her recovery, Zavian receives new orders from his superiors to transport her back to the ring's headquarters immediately. Although keen on following orders, Zavian is curious about their interest in her, and is somewhat grateful the guild has become so invested in her rehabilitation, since it has given him more time to evaluate her importance.
