Tau De La Fuente

Body Type || Tau is shorter than most of his colleagues, standing at 5'6" with a leaner build. His posture alternates between rigid and relaxed, depending on the situation and his mood; much more at ease when around his friends than when he's speaking with his superiors.

Face || He has a baby face, features slowly getting sharper with age, but much slower than he would prefer. Upturned brown eyes, tan skin, and straight, greek nose rounded at the tip. Tau has thicker eyebrows with a slit along the arch of his right brow. His hair is a thick and curly undercut in deep black, with two slits shaved into the right side parallel to one another.

Clothes || Generally, Tau sticks to wearing darker clothes with very little color present. Due to the dirty nature of his job, he does it more out of practicality than pure preference--though even before his position as a hunter, most of his clothes were a very muted palette. He has a wide array of tight fitting athletic pants and looser fitting harem and tactical pants, as he is often in situations that require high action. His shirts are generally very simple, solid colors with long or quarter sleeves; only going sleeveless when he's at the gym. For jackets, he wears tactical coats or flight jackets.

Weapons and Holsters || Tau's weapons of choice are two pistols with sigils and runes engraved into the design and even along the inside of the barrel. The bullets he uses are also engraved, and if he runs low and doesn't have access to the specific brand, he will carve sigils into regular, general use ammunition himself. He has two types of holsters, generally favoring thigh holsters--but if he is in a highly populated area, he will use a concealed shoulder holster under his jacket.

Tau is considered to be incredibly young for a hunter. Though it isn't unheard of for teenagers to aim to become licensed demon hunters, very rarely to organizations allow them in. He suspects that Alkaitz only accepted him thinking that if Tau was rejected by the Order, he'd attempt to go to a less reputable organization and get himself seriously injured.

Abused as a child, Tau has problems dealing with physical contact from others, no matter how much he trusts them. He prefers to put at least a foot of distance between himself and others at all times, becoming increasingly anxious and tense when others get too close.

He met his partner, Killian when Tau was fifteen, shortly before he became a hunter. Killian is the closest person to Tau outside of the boy's best friend, Caden. They are partners, working incredibly well together despite how difficult Tau can be.

Tau is a brat at best, incredibly stubborn and unwilling to listen to the opinions of others when he has made up his mind on something. At the same time, he's thoughtful of others, caring deeply for those around him. He has a hard time telling people no, often landing him with more stress than he'd personally aim for.

Though he tries to hide it, Tau has struggled with anxiety his entire life due to the insecurities that come with being a half-demon. Constantly told he was not good enough as a child, eventually he began to take a specialized medication that would surpress his demonic energy and make him appear human to others. In addition to being anxious about his demonic heritage, he also feels shame when it comes to his mixed race lineage. There have been numerous times he was sent on assignments to South America or the area surrounding it, especially with other Latinx hunters. The situations have made Tau feel as if he's not enough, never being taught the language his absentee father spoke, and thus seen as mediocre to others because he's not "Latin enough" to be of any use.
