Niflheim Aesir

Name Niflheim Aesir
Age 6300 Dragonese Years (36)
Gender Male
Race Ice Dragon
Role Secondary Protagonist

Demanding . Formal . Organized

Personality

He's described as very prideful, in both a positive sense and negative sense. He seeks the best in people, and is aggravated when others don't reach for that "best self". This stems from his own insecurities as he feels insignificant to his adoptive brother, Malachi, the King of All Dragons. Though, he still has confidence in his own greatness and accomplishments, always carrying himself with poise and grace, as a King should.

Powers

Niflheim has the typical powers of the Dragon World Dragon, especially at his size of 55 ft. And, as an ice dragon, he has ice breath, and slight control over ice and snow. Though, he also has the Gift of Animate Form, which allows him to make living beings of ice.

Background

Niflheim is the son of the Gravity Dragon, Knarine Aesir, and the previous Ice Dragon King, Joteheim Aesir.  His childhood was fairly straightforward, being educated by his mother while his father mainly helped hone his more physical skills, though Niflheim always felt that Jotunheim wasn't really proud of him.

At age 2,625 (15), he found a 525 (3) year-old Malachi in the Sea of Trees alone and crying. He decided to take him back to his father to see if he was able to take care of him, as a way to prove that he was responsible to his father. His father allowed him Malachi into his home, under the conditions that Malachi must be trained by Niflheim. Niflheim accepted and trained Malachi for 2100 (12) years.

Niflheim endured much hardship when taking care of Malachi, including being beaten up when he tried to stop Jira from taking Malachi, the death of his father, and becoming the Ice Dragon King at a young age. Even though he stilled loved Malachi dearly and always wanted the best for the young lad, he had felt a lot of suppressed resentment towards Malachi for years until they eventually made up during the Great War in which everyone else had that kind of resentment towards Malachi (even Malachi himself). Niflheim accepted that his life was what it was, and he had to make the best out of the reality given to him, rather than the one that he dreams.

Later on, however, he would find himself caring for another child, a Storm Dragon named Odin, and later, marrying a mutant woman named Tamara.
