Jacob Markov (New Profile Wip)

Jacob was born into the "Holy Suns" organization (and the Golden Sun sector), his parents long-time members. He was his family's pride and joy, always exceeding expectations and performing well above the mark. He was fiercely determined and bold during training, but quiet outside of it. Some called him shy, but he was actually more strategic. Planning how to go about interactions with others, trying to learn the optimal ways to behave and connect. His autism was never diagnosed, but he learned how to work with and around it over time, at least to the best he could given the situation.

He was fiercely loyal to the organization, even if he had his own critiques on the whole operation. Still, he quickly proved to be an asset once he was allowed on missions. Soon, he was allowed to venture out on his own.

It was one such solo mission that made him the way he is now. He was adventuring out to study some ruins that were rumored to have magical properties - potential for manipulation and study. During his journey within them, he was caught in a trap. Slumbering within the caverns was a link to a god-like being, The Consumption. The ruins had once been dedicated to serving the being, including providing countless sacrifices and using powerful magic to create a small connection to it. For a long time, any adventurer that was caught in the ruins were just automatically fed to the Consumption through that link, no mortal servants required. Things changed when the Consumption was put into a cursed mortal, and thus the consequences of trespassing changed. Unconsciously, the influence of the mortal's powers affected what happened, and cursed Jacob.

The curse is not just a simple curse; rather, it is the embodies the spirit of the ruins, and is something like a living parasite. It is living off of Jacob's energy, and so as long as he is alive, it will not kill him. It has thoughts, though they are abstract, and cannot be communicated well to others. Mostly, it is devote to the Consumption, and can show Jacob the ruin's history as though they were memories.

Jacob becomes able to control and communicate with the curse. After much compromise and discussion, he is given the ability to take charge of his curse and be fully conscious. Although he still can't see, he is able to communicate with others, and can ask the curse to lend him certain powers. However, Jacob is on a time limit with this state. He can't hold it for  long, and if he tries to stay active for too long, the curse may  overtake him completely. Each time he goes beyond a time limit, more flowers grow. If he goes far beyond the limit, the flowers will engulf him at once. Still, the curse lets him know when his time is almost up. The two are on amicable terms, and it is only because Jacob's body physically cannot handle the curse in his "active" state that there is such a risk of death.
