Luciano B. Veneta ( ルチアーノ・ビー・ヴェネタ ruchiāno bī vu~eneta ), more commonly known as Veneta, is a supporting character in Vento Aureo. He is an operative under the Patrol Division of Passione and with his partner and very close friend, Alto Ragazzo, were assigned in Florence by their Capo during the events of Vento Aureo. While not a Minor Antagonist in particular, he and Alto face against Team Buccellati when they arrive in Florence as a standard operating procedure due to the evident power struggle happening within Passione. After being defeated and swayed by Giorno Giovanna, he allies himself with Team Buccellati and keeps outside forces from interfering with them. He is a natural Stand User and uses Careless Whisper in battle.

A P P E A R A N C E

Veneta is fairly small and slender for a male, displaying a very angrodynous look. His short hair is mint green and is styled in such a way it flies away in upward waves while his bangs are fairly wavy and fall over the sides of his face. Additionally, regardless of appearance, he is always shown carrying a walking stick around.

Veneta is known to never show his eyes, always concealing them with a pair of blue sunglasses. Before he was blinded by eye infection, he had bright fuschia eyes. Now; however, his eyes look similarly to that of blind people, having a grayish cloudy film over his eyes.

His main outfit consists of a purple and black striped short corset with a plunging v-neck. It's held by some leather straps that rest on his neck like a choker. On top of that he wears a short white jacket with a slightly darker shade of mint green on the collar and the linings of his sleeves and gold studs lining some parts of it. He's known for his very fluffy pants. His shoes mostly match his top, sporting purple highlights with black stripes and gold studs.

Sometime near the end of the manga, Veneta is briefly shown sporting a different but fairly similar outfit to his previous one, the exception being now that his jacket is fuzzy and not his pants.

In Purple Haze Feedback, Veneta is shown wearing a completely new outfit and brand new sunglasses as well.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Veneta is for lack of a better term, fairly scatterbrained. His thoughts jump from one thing to another and he's often found himself switching topics way too much within one coversation, or at least making completely unrelated comments. On occasion, he is distracted from work, only being alerted of business thanks to his Stand. He's shown to also have a fairly childish side, always visibly pouting and lightly whining when simple things don't go his way. This was a result of him being spoiled in a few ways by different people considering his circumstances. He likes immature jokes and comments about things and prefers to think simply when he's not doing work.

Despite his mafioso front, Veneta is very much a social butterfly and doesn't make enemies easily. He is also notable for his mischief, as he likes to get all up into someone's personal space and poke fun at other people in good faith. He's also rather fond of ridiculous antics when he's bored. Despite being a mafioso, his priveleged background and special treatment at one point have left him with just a tinge of a bratty attitude. This reveals that underneath all the mafioso titles and achievements, Veneta is, technically, still a child. In a sense, there is the silent refusal to grow up still.

Additionally, he has a notable quirk to his personality. He's absolutely fond of soft things, whether it be animals, clothes, anything. He loves the feeling and always keeping it in his hands or where he has easy access to them. He has a habit of saying "Ah. Soft." whenever this happens. There is an unspoken sense of security and safety for Veneta, which may have resulted from his blindness. He's been observably calmer and less of a nuisance to others.

Childishness aside, Veneta suffers from some form of self-esteem issue, finding himself to be troubled over underestimation of his person due to his lack of sight and otherwise childish behavior. As a result of his blindness, he is either overlooked or coddled, which are to the extremes of him, who finds that he desires normal treatment as if there was nothing wrong with him. He doesn't take kindly to remarks about his eyesight or his ability as a mafioso regardless if it had anything to do with his disability. Veneta may not look it, but he is as soft inside as the fuzzy things he loves so much.

Despite a rather priveleged upbringing, Veneta has started breaking free of his shelteredness and is starting to take on bigger responsibilities to overcome his issues with his confidence. While lashing out may end up appearing childish whenever he does, Veneta is not a quitter and will easily pick himself back up, thanks to a still present naievete and determination. He doesn't have any clear goals as of yet, if almost at all, but Veneta is, in his own way, determined to prove himself.

However; in the events of Purple Haze Feedback, Veneta has seemed to have mellowed down a bit and starts to take things a little more seriously. While this can be said to be a result of his grief, this was mostly due to the fact that he now has far bigger responsibilities than he expected to ever have. Veneta shows a significant maturity in his character, his tone becoming stern, and his fun-loving attitude replaced with semi-jovial sarcasm and dry humor. He maintains a still lighter attitude than most other mafiosi, but in the short span of six months, Veneta can be said to be an almost completely different person.

A B I L I T I E S

ECHOLOCATION

The most notable ability of Veneta's is his ability to use echolocation. By making sounds either vocally or with another external source, he can "see" how soundwaves bounce off different things, and the closer he is to something, the easier he could define it. Say, talking to a person can help him identify their appearance although blind. However, when it comes to screens and books, he cannot see, as these are simply flat surfaces.

KEEN HEARING

Veneta is capable of hearing even the drop of a needle. Event the faintest sound anyone or anything makes, he could locate a general area. His hearing is very fine tuned that he could even hear "wrong notes" in music that he listens to.
