Cotton is typically very quiet as she gets lost in thought easily. She can also seem cold and distant at times because of this, but she actually quite friendly when you get to know her. Despite this she won't hesitate to voice her disapproval on things and tends to be the voice of reason. This is because she no longer wishes to be passive in making choices! Sometimes that means she will overthink things or even ignore others input, but she's figuring out how to balance it out.
As she was raised by goats of Serpentine, Cotton spent a lot of time studying and honing her abilities. She also is book smart, quick on her feet, and speaks several languages.

- Cotton likes to hide things in her hair. She has had two very familiar snakes living in it for a while now!
- On another note, despite the length of her hair; she doesn't get hot very easily. She does cute it shorter on occasional.

Cotton was born under a yellow moon, during strange circumstances. She was naturally toxic to the touch and couldn't be handled without gloves; even her mother eventually lost immunity to Cotton... Turning desperate for a solution, her parents went to the Serpentine Sect for advice. The Sect, goatmen known from legends of eating snakes and spitting poison, had been simply waiting for her arrival. They took charge of her immediately with promises of teaching Cotton how to live with her abilities. Her parents sadly left with hope that their daughter could learn to control her toxicity and return home to them someday.
As time passed Cotton studied religiously and learned all she could about her deadly potential. The Sect, while good teachers, were distant guardians whom she found it hard to connect with. She developed a naturally cold and aloof personality that valued knowledge over personal feelings. As her powers grew more under control she spent her days exploring the bayou that surrounded the Sect's home. There, she also developed some fighting skills against the creatures of the swamp (but the Sect never let her get into any real danger).
Due to being raised at by the goats of Serpentine, she had a strong sense of duty to her "purpose." Cotton struggled for a long time to see the value of her life as she believed she was always supposed to die for the resurrection God of Viper. After meeting Ob and seeing what life could be away from her caretakers, she challenged the Serpentine Sect and left with her newfound friends to make a life by her own rules.
