Soft Boy

APPEARANCE

Soft Boy is a short boy with pale skin, short blonde hair, and blue eyes. Due to his general cute appearance, shy attitude, and short heigh he's often mistaken for being younger than he really is, and doesn't appear to mind very much. He also has a halo-esque ahoge coming off the top of his head. He wears a pale cream shirt, red tie, and brown vest, shorts and shoes. He also keeps a brown bag with him at all times, holding various pieces of plush dolls that he intends to fix up.

While adventuring, he loosens up his outfit, beginning to wear clothes outside of his original colour scheme. He enjoys bright colours especially.

PERSONALITY

Soft Boy is, as his name may suggest, a very soft boy. He's mild-mannered and shy. While he enjoys being around other people, socialising often makes him anxious, so he has a tendency to keep himself to himself. His main hobby is collecting and fixing up broken dolls and plushies, and he is pretty skilled at it- though some find his creations slightly disturbing as they have a Frankenstein's monster-esque look to them. Soft Boy thinks it gives them charm.

Soft Boy has a deep fear of being abandoned and forgotten, as well as a fear of disappointing those he admires- which is pretty much everyone. To combat this, he tries to make others rely on him, though this tends to leave him feeling overwhelmed and stressed.

Soft Boy is rather naïve, though not stupidly so. He trusts people until they give him an indisputable reason not to, and out of his party is the one most likely to want to hear villainous types out. He strongly believes that all problems can be fixed without fighting, and refuses to take part in any battles as a result. He is skilled at remembering the purposes of different plants, and instead chooses to use those to heal his team-mates during battle.

Despite his fears, anxieties and naïvety, Soft Boy is a very loyal friend and would do anything to keep those he cares about safe. If necessary, he would set aside his personal beliefs for the safety of his friends.

BACKSTORY

Soft Boy is an inhabitant of the Land of Forgotten Things- a place where the souls of the dead sometimes end up, either by accident or because the gods have decided that they need to be wiped from the multiverse. Like all inhabitants, Soft Boy doesn't remember his mortal life, and as a result has no idea whether he's there by accident, or if he did something terrible- the thought that he could have hurt people makes him very afraid.

One day, Soft Boy just appeared amongst the Discarded, and was found by Tricks. Tricks quickly named him based off of his fearful attitude and adopted him as his butler. They remained like this until Pastel arrived and insisted that Tricks treat Soft Boy with more respect.
