Hatsue is an ambivert, and tends to be overly friendly. She considers herself approachable as well as most people around her do. She's a fairly good listener, and given the chance to be heard out is someone with good advice.

She's family-oriented. Her parents mean the world to her, and she wants to give them back everything they gave to her. She never asks for more than she needs, and is always seeming content. Her parents want her to be more selfish.

Hatsue was one of the few students from her school to be accepted by U.A. Academy. She considers this her biggest and most fortunate accomplishment. The only other person she knows that got accepted was her friend Mei. They are both even in the same class, which greatly puzzled her at first. She made another friend, finding herself on the sideline. Not one to mind it much, she is seeking out to speak to other people. Only her slow speech pattern makes her a tad nervous when other people bring that up in conversation.

She appears normal, trying to clean up any of her slime spills when she notices it. She prefers sitting in the front of the classroom, earnestly taking notes about every subject that truly interests her. In the physical department she attempts to keep up with everyone, still being slow nonetheless. It's not that big a deal as she just finds it more fun going at her own pace. The fun in everything and anything is what brings joy to her. Positivity is her favorite and most useful weapon.

Hatsue was born to two average people. She was their only daughter and they named her Hatsue. The meaning of "first" and "blessed." Her being born meant the world to them. Her quirk wasn't manifested at all, but she was born with blue skin. No indication was given to hint as to what her quirk could have been. But as a child she was sickly, frequently in bed for unknown reasons. Nothing was pinpointed to what it could even be. For a short period her parents wondered if she would even live to be a child. Her mother left work to take care of her.

Hatsue's earliest memories always involve her parents caring for her. Hearing them cry in the room next door because their daughter was sick. At age four it progressively became worse, her mother always being at her side if it were to happen. She just woke up one day and promised to get better. Around the same time her quirk manifested finally. The sickness happened less and less, Hatsue was able to attend school, finally able to have the childhood her parents had wanted for her.

She became a slow talker, getting more reserved. Only when she entered middle school she made a friend that frequented their house. As some time passed, she got more and more into Decora fashion, only dressing like this all the time. The time she dresses "normally" is in her school uniform.
