Cassius comes from a future where time travel has been invented and is used mainly for solving disputes, resolving legal battles and recording history. But it's also a somewhat loathsome job. The first rule of time traveling means that once you time travel, the universe will conspire to make you time travel again. That's at odds with the second rule of time travelign, which prevents a time traveler from existing for very long in a timeline that is not their own.

Cassius is lazy, self-serving and cowardly. He puts himself and his survival above others, and doesn't have many friends. However this selfish attitude is really a veneer for his self-loathing. Cassius hates the way he looks and the way he is, and is often his own worst enemy. He thinks of himself as an unimportant person who will never have a great impact on the world. Why he became a time traveler is uncertain, but he's wedded to the job even though he doesn't seem to be that good at it - he has a proclivity to engaging with and getting traped in confusing time paradoxes.

Cassius is a strange looking guy: his feet and head are made of bone, his arms are large and feathery, and his eyes are beady - which is why he wears those big goggles. He's only a few feet tall, and that's mostly ears. However nobody seems to mind this about him, and it's never commented on, even though he's the only non-human in his world...

In his free time, Cassius likes blogging, watching TV and reading. He lives a quiet life without much socal or physical activity.
