Roanoke
- Left eye is blue, right eye is brown
- Stomach and chest are slightly lighter in color than main coat
- Cream diamond-shaped marking on back
- "Sideburns" are same color as chest and stomach
- Cream colored pointed marking comes up from base of nose
Roanoke is very shy and unsure of himself. He also tends to get quite anxious, with this anxiety at times shading into paranoia. Roanoke is still learning how to stand up for himself, but is making progress. When one gets past his frightened outer layer, Roanoke is revealed as a caring and thoughtful guy. Roanoke was born into a family of murderous and chaotic breeding. However, his family's antics never appealed to him, and in fact frightened him--he did not understand why they had to be so violent. As an adult, Roanoke works at an indepedent bookstore, doing his best to distance himself from his family. Hopefully someday he will find companions with whom he can truly feel at home.
Nymous is Bundy's aunt--she is his mother Myra's sister. She initially comes across as sympathetic, but is truly calculating and malevolent. Nymous looks down on Roanoke, seeing him as cowardly, and frequently attempts to toughen him up. Roanoke thus is frightened of his aunt, and does his best to avoid her.
Bundy is Roanoke's uncle, his mother Myra's brother. Bundy may have a charming veneer, but inside, he is rotten to the core, and loves spreading mayhem and misery. This includes playing nasty pranks on Roanoke whenever he is able, as Bundy finds Roanoke to be an irritating disappointment. Not surprisingly, Roanoke tries to have as little to do with his uncle as possible.
