"The other half of a worshiping devotion to the gods Honrai and Kami. He's usually very unsure of himself and thinks that deliberation and focus is important, but difficult to achieve. his intentions are always pure, which is thankful under Honrai's all-knowing gaze. his name came from his rebirth into the religion as well. With Honra, they take care of a dilapidated shrine, hoping to someday bring in a large congregation and clean the place up entirely. it's not a solitary life when your friend makes the experience very vivid, the two of them fussing and preening over one another in equal measure."

As a young child with very few prospects in a small town in the middle of nowhere, The God 'Kami' came down to this small child and spoke to him in his dreams. The young boy went on a journey, a pilgrimage to a shrine that needing restoring. The journey itself was perilous to a peasant with no-name, who had never been further than a mile from where he was born. It was there, when he found the shrine, that Kami gifted him the name "Kanmi." He was honored to carry a name that showed his devotion to his God that gave him a purpose in life. There, Kanmi would start his new life, keeping the shrine intact, honoring his patron, and sharing Kanmi's love with whoever stopped by the shrine. 

Kanmi is still ignorant to the world at large and fears leaving the shrine now after it has offered him so much peace, purpose, and companionship. Kanmi doesn't like being idle and likes to keep himself busy, always doing work around the shrine and finding projects. There is no lack of them. Although he loves having people visit the shrine, he is very weary of people and their intentions. He wants to trust them, but he can't always open up to them the way Kami teaches. He still has a lot to learn: about trust and choices.
