Sunken deity/spirit of an uncharted deep ocean seamount in the Pacific, a large volcano still in its preshield formation phase, simmering beneath the waves. Had they been known to humanity since antiquity they would undoubtedly now have spiritual power equal to active ocean volcanoes like Mauna Loa and dormant behemoths like Kilimanjaro, but they are hundreds of thousands of years away from even emerging from the sea.

Being so far from humankind to guide their identity, they have a tenuous sense of self and not many attributes. However they are curious, and when one has no clear sense of time the empty years between ships go by quickly. They are more familiar with the inhabitants of the deep sea (the seeps and smokers at their borders provide oases in the lightless desert) but are very curious about humankind. Usually not percieved by normal folk except as a wave of heat, they sometimes wander ashore, examining this strange world they will one day join.

With no name given to it, if asked for one the sunken spirit makes the strange sound of pillow lava growing and imploding during formation.
