[Cado Guinivere]

    Cado was a very unusual child. It wasn't just his personality that was... Strange. He was cursed by a witch before he was even born. His father had aggravated a witch because he had left her for Cado's mother, breaking the witch's spell that made him love her originally. Enraged by this, the witch had cursed him and said that his firstborn son with anyone would be inhabited by an Umbressent, or a demonic spirit of the shadows. Cado, being the firstborn, was the one who inherited this unfortunate trait. The Umbressent residing in him was dormant in his younger years, making it so that his father didn't believe that the witch's spell worked. However, into Cado's teen years, the Umbressent started to wake. Cado started to become more mischievous and deceptive. This kept happening until the parents finally noticed. The father, knowing what had happened and not wishing this to burden the family, now with 2 younger red head siblings like Cado, decided to send him away. Cado, knowing this, ran off on his own, not wanting to leave, but knowing this was right. He got to what seemed to be a normal ship and boarded, hoping to take the matter up with the captain. As he got on, he realized it was a pirate ship. He went to the captain's space anyways, hoping that he could try to reason. He got close and knocked on the cabin door. Then he felt something hitting him on the back of his head. Everything went black. He woke up in a cellar, facing a fiery kid who claimed himself to be the captain. "Look bud, I'm not here to fight you, all I was needing was a way away from the place where I had lived." "Oh yeah?" The kid replied, "why?" Cado, deciding that telling was better than not and dying, told the boy the whole story. "Oh, well. I am in need of more crew members. You can join if you would like! If not, I'm sure some friendly sharks below would love to invite you for dinner!" "I'll gladly be on your crew!" Cado quickly replied, finding the other option undesirable for some reason. Cado joined, but the captain, named Akai, caught on to his deceptive nature. He had asked Cado what the matter was, and Cado had opened up to Akai about the Umbressent and the real reason why he was sent away since Akai had become his most trusted friend. Akai listened intently and asked Cado if he wanted a drink. Cado agreed and the more he drank, the less he felt the hold of the Umbressent on him. He later passed out, but soon awoke again with water being splashed on his face. He, from then on, tried different ways to separate himself from the soul, but the only solid answers were when he drank or when he visualized swords while wearing certain gloves that he got from one of their many pillages which would make shadowy swords appear in his hands. He eventually  was able to control the Umbressent better, but he had difficulty staying sober as when he used the swords, he could only use them for a certain period of time before the Umbressent became too powerful for him and went back into his body, returning all ailments, including the beffects of drinking, making him unsuitable for combat afterwards.
