TW: Abandonment

Meteorkit was born alongside Cometkit and Starkit to the two mollies, Boarhoney and Durocpatches. The kits' birth unfortunately alligning with the arrival of a wave of illness throughout the clans, especially her own BlizzardClan. This ending up taking the lives of Durocpatches and Cometkit, leaving a distraught Boarhoney to raise Starkit and Meteorkit alone, the remaining siblings too young to understand their great loss.

For most of her kithood, Boarhoney relied on her niece, Thawheart, along with Thaw's mate, Cloudburst, to assist her with Meteor and Star, resulting in the two being much closer with them rather than their mother.

apprenticeship

While Meteorpaw and Starpaw's apprenticeship started out normal, with Boarhoney even trying her best to return herself to her kits' lives, things started to strain again when Dovemoon began changing the laws of the Clan. Boarhoney shows obvious signs of discomfort with the rules and her focus is pulled from her daughters to politics. Meteorpaw, who was desperate for her mother's affection, is much more upset by this although she tries to hide it.

Meteorpaw tries to double down on her training and begins taking more and more risks in an effort to gain attention. Despite being scolded by her mentor and others, this does seem to work in getting her mother to focus on her if only for a moment so she continues despite and reprocussions. Throughout her apprenticeship, she did struggle through most of it as Meteor showed to have troubles focusing if it wasn't something she was interested and easily got distracted.

It's during the great Blizzard that Boarhoney goes missing, most assuming that she left out of unhappiness with Dovemoon's changes in the clan. However, both Meteortail and Starsugar were left unaware of her plan and both sisters feel abandoned by their mother. Meteor tries to seek comfort in her sister, but Starsugar closes herself off.

Meteortail continues her reckless ways to try and get her sister's attention. Desperately needing her in this time, however unlike as apprentices with their mother, this has little effect on Starsugar, much to Meteor's hurt and frustration.

It was about 10 moons ago, right when Dovemoon finalized the laws that Starsugar finally spoke to her. Saying that she was going to look for their mother. Not wanting to lose anyone else this ended up causing a fight between the two sisters, Meteortail's pleading falling on deaf ears and her sister was set on finding their mother. And so Starsugar left, leaving Meteortail alone. She burries herself in her work and still keeps up her reckless ways. Notably despite her friendliness she has been somewhat distant since her sister left the clan. No sign of Boarhoney or Starsugar has been seen since their departure and Meteortail bitterly feels like they both are happier without her.
