Scarlett Bloom is the owner of Circus Firefly, located on the outskirts of the city, as well as a supplier of body parts, organs, and cadavers for the Underworld.
PERSONALITY
Scarlett's a very charismatic person, easily able to strike up a conversation with anyone. She's quite energetic and easy-going, although she can get quite abrasive sometimes. Many are lucky to only get to know that side of her. As a seller of bodies, she has a bit of sadistic streak, usually toying with her victims physically and psychologically. Her demeanour during the processing of bodies turns cold, clinical, almost respectful to the material she's working on. Around people of the Underworld, every word or hers hides a thinly veiled threat, a habit she picked up and kept during her teenage years. Although, sometimes the threat isn't as thinly veiled, and she has a habit of running her mouth a lot. This has led her into many fights, though she's usually strong enough to protect herself.
Around close friends, she speaks very frankly, but retains an affectionate tone to her voice. She's very open with her emotions and thoughts around them.
Despite her work, she has a soft spot for children. No matter the case, her wrath will never be directed towards a child.
BACKSTORY

Born as the sole daughter to the boss of the local mafia, mother died at childbirth. Her father wasn't a great dad. He cared for his late wife, whose qualities he saw a lot in scarlett. Unintentionally, he projected a lot of those qualities onto Scarlett, which led to a lot of fights. She fell out of love with him when she was a teen. Eventually, he started grooming her to be the next boss, to carry on his legacy. She didn't want that and ran away a lot. This always resulted with her being taken back and punished, but she valued those few hours alone despite it. This carried on until she turned 20. The day, she ran, as usual, and wandered around for a few hours, as usual. But no one came looking for her that day. She didn't want to risk going back home to find out what happened, so she made herself scarce and left the area.
Eventually, she managed to find employment as a grave digger, and lived in a small flat with her roommate, Leon. Grave digging slowly turned to grave robbing, and she made enough to get on decently.
Her first kill came when an old aquaintance came to her doorstep, while Leon was out. Said aquaintance tried to blackmail her, which resulted in a fight, and her snapping their neck. Out of anger, she dragged the body into the kitchen and mutilated it. (it was really in for a penny in for a pound kinda feeling, she's already fucked for killing someone, so what does it matter what she does to the body) Leon returned to find the kitchen, a headless corpse in the middle of it with blood splattered around the shelfs. Long story short Scarlett tried to kill him since he was a witness but Leon convinced her not to and helped her clean up (and take care of the body)
She continues on in her life, earning and saving money to open a circus, but also at the same time building up her business of selling body parts. And she does eventually open up a circus on the outskirts of the city. It ends up becoming a front for her body selling business though.
During the early years of her circus, she targeted a lot of people who she had grudges against, a lot of whom were her late father's henchmen (who had, at this point, become Jade's henchmen). And who wasn't going to notice their men slowly going missing? Jade eventually figured that Scarlett's circus was suspicious, and went there to investigate herself.
Scarlett, in all her wisdom and confidence, challenged Jade to a duel. Which she lost by a long shot, but not before landing a single blow on Jade after breaking the latter's barrier. Jade, confused and angry, wanted to know how she did that, and let Scarlett live so she could teach her the trick.
Eventually, this turned into regular sparring sessions, and Jade started inviting Scarlett to events to help her carry out some dirty work. And, well, they started dating from there.

MAGIC
Scarlett is extremely skilled with fire and dabbles in illusion magic, both of which she uses for her performances. She is able to produce fire from her skin and her forearms are extremely heat resistant as a result of repeated use. On the other hand, she specifically learned to make her eyes look red, but beyond that, knows no other forms of illusion magic.
Additionally, she can grow her hair and change the colour of it, though it takes quite a bit of energy to do so.
RELATIONSHIPS (her links but the more developed ones)
Jade - Partner (romantically and also in crime), Scarlett helps her out sometimes with jobs sometimes
Ayesha - Ex, ???, broke up amicably but then Ayesha got a contract to kill Scarlett. It didn't work but their relationship got complicated
Leon - Prior roommate and friend, when they're together, they cause a lot of chaos. Other than that they're really good friends
Circus crew - I'm going to treat them as a collective for the time being. She's civil or friendly to them depending on what kind of employee they are. Performers come and go based on contract, and they live elsewhere, but there are 6 or so core members who live at the circus and actively help Scarlett with her other work. All of the people who've worked with Scarlett for a long period of time are aware of what she does, and are fine with it as long as it's kept out of sight, out of mind. It's a bit of a pain to hire new workers.
TRIVIA
She knows a lot of stock phrases in different languages, and uses them quite a bit when interacting with her audience. (The languages she actually knows are Cantonese and English though)
She like wood carving, and she makes the masks for her costumes herself.
Her legal surname is Lee. She doesn't like it much.
