Elmyra is a snake person collecting the scales that were scattered when her god was slain. The scales told her of the pain, anger, and betrayal her god felt in her last moments and the flame of revenge began to burn within her. Once she gathered enough specks of power, she would spend every ounce of her life inflicting as much suffering on these conspirators as her body would permit.
She was shown a different, less destructive path.
