Personality

Gargaze is a sarcastic and fairly irritable cat, with a dry sense of humor. Gargaze doesn't take no for an answer and tends to snap instructions to other cats that he expects to be followed. He even does this with Pebblestar. He often tells misbehaving kits that he will throw them off the side of the cliff if they don't start shaping up. Despite coming off as cold, he has a kind heart and takes his role as medicine cat seriously. He has an innate talent with herbs that he genuinely enjoys using to care for his Clanmates.

Appearance

A small, but stocky grey tom-cat. He has a flat, almost pressed-in face, and giant amber eyes that almost seem cock-eyed most times. He has a small patch of white on his short tail. Due to his flat face, sometimes his fangs snag on his lips.

Relationships

Dewflower Gargaze's mother. The two aren't very close, however Dewflower is very proud of her son for being such a good medicine cat.

Pebblestar As the leader of CliffClan, Gargaze naturally has a deep respect for Pebblestar. However, that doesn't stop him from speaking his mind to his leader.

Story

Garkit was the only kit born to his mother, Dewflower. However, he was born at a time when there many other kits in the nursery. When it came close to the time when Garkit was to be apprenticed, Darkleaf, the previous CliffClan medicine cat, came to the nursery at the request of Hawkstar. Hawkstar was worried that, since Darkleaf was getting older, something would happen and it would leave CliffClan without a medicine cat.

It is said that when Darkleaf gave Garkit a close look, she got a feeling as if she was being shaken by StarClan. She told Hawkstar that Garkit was meant to be her apprentice. Some of the elders teased Darkleaf in secret and said she chose Garkit because of his adorable, large eyes.

It was soon shown that Garpaw was truly meant to be a medicine cat. In time, Darkleaf passed, and Gargaze became a full medicine cat to CliffClan. He accompanied Pebblepelt to the Moontide when she received her nine lives and became Pebblestar.

Trivia

● Gargaze says that even if he hadn't become medicine cat, he likely would never have taken a mate or had kits. He feels it just takes too much time out of the day when he could be taking care of other, more important things.
