Hion is the daughter of a mercenary, who raised her single-handedly and gave her battle training since early on in her youth. Her town was absolutely destroyed and burned down when she was around 11, so she moved to the city with her now disabled father. Since her father couldn’t do his mercenary work anymore (or find a job he could do otherwise), she was the only one providing for the both of them. It was hard to find work at all, much less for someone her age, and resorted to begging and thievery. Every once in a while, she would get a small-paying job doing simple tasks or hard labor, but they’d go out of business or have to cut workers after a while. Due to her bad habits and low money gain, she eventually fell in with the wrong crowd and was directed to a shady organization that would hire her as a contract assassin every once in a while. It let her and her dad stay afloat, but she became increasingly unhappy with her position, shady employers, and the tasks she was given. She cut ties before she had gotten too involved, and because she was never trusted with information outside of the bare minimum, wasn’t pursued too far.

She continued doing odd jobs until her father died, and by that point, she was already considering becoming a mercenary. She wasn’t opposed to dirtying her hands, but knew she couldn’t morally bring herself to pursue a lifestyle where all she did was kill defenseless strangers from the shadows. As a mercenary, she could do what she was good at- fighting face-to-face and being tough, without as many moral qualms. She got in contact with her father’s old connections and found a few small jobs here and there, but it wasn’t until later she was hired by some big shot as a guard. She was fairly good at her job and had a keen instinct due to her past, and she ended up with a pretty great pay. She is very money smart now, and she no longer has to support her father, so she has been building up her fortune for a hopefully early retirement, only spending it on clothes to fit in at her job, and the cheapest food she can get. Her employer gave her a place to stay as part of the deal, and she spends most of her time patrolling and guarding. Otherwise, she keeps her body in shape and practices her skills with a wide array of weaponry. Outside of her work and fighting skills, she doesn’t really have any hobbies or something she necessarily wants to pursue, as she lives in the moment and doesn’t let herself get distracted.
