Melon is a little sunshine. She always tries to be cheerful around her friends and usually dashes into turf wars with a smile on her face as she is in for the fun, mainly. Out of the four members of her squad, the "FruitShake", Melon is one of the most recent members and also the least experienced one when it comes to turf wars and competitive matches. Nonetheless, she works hard on improving her skills during matches and on the training grounds to support her friends to the fullest. Admiring the top-tier charger-mains, Melon chose the Kelp Splatterscope as her main weapon. In battle, she tries to keep a watchful eye over her friends from the backrow - unfortunately her aim happens to be a little off at times.

Outside of turf wars and competitive matches, Melon enjoys spending her time in the food district and is often found with melon-flavoured snacks and drinks at hand, or eating watermelon slices. If not seen plundering the food district, Melon likes to hang out in the plaza having a little chat with other inklings or heads to the shops to check for new gear with Lime and Berry. Most of her money goes into new head gear and she is currently saving up for a gas mask - an item she wanted to have it in her collection ever since her first turf war match.

Melon's biggest fear is that her friends think of her as a burden to carry around, as she is aware that she is neither covering the most turf in matches nor that her skills as a sniper are very impressive. She tries her best to hide these worries behind her regular cheerful attitude, though after losing streaks her worries tend to shine through as she apologizes over and over again to her squad for "messing up again". If anything, she wants to avoid disappointing the people she likes. 

Like many other inklings, Melon loves sea slug bunnies and she keeps multiple ones as pets. She named then after different kinds of ice cream flavours such as Cookie Dough, Straciatella, Cantaloupe and Nougat. As her sea slug bunny horde is constantly growing, Berry jokes at times that Melon must be secretly building up a sea slug army to take over Inkopolis one day.
