In an alternate universe John wasn't tempted by a fallen angel to becoming immortal. Instead he duped a regular angel into granting him extended life through dubious means, given the ability to steal small bits of time from people this version of John Finnigan got involved with the mafia and eventually became head of one of the largest crime families Derring City has ever seen. Amoral, seemingly invincible, and a bastard to the end, this version of John is very different from the true immortal. Instead he was charming, friendly, hedonistic, and could shoot his best friend in the face without a second thought, and in his own little world he considered himself a god.
