Lithiya's best friend. Just like Lithiya she goes to the surface to try and learn what she can about customs, mannerisms, and the nature of people that are bound to land. While she looks mostly human, her disguise isn't completely foolproof in that her hair retains the same squishy and gelatinous form as usual.
Her emotions are very lackluster and she has a hard time expressing things more than curiosity. Compared to Lithiya she is a much more relaxed and underwhelming person to be around.
Niu often finds herself getting lost easily in her own curiosity and completely losing track of time. She's been known to disappear from home for days or even weeks at a time because she doesn't realize how much time has actually passed.
