Strengths:

• As a shadow demon he has a variety of different shadow and dark related abilities (Which I'll list below)
• Has a full demon form which is stronger and faster than his human form.
• Pretty physically strong anyway as a human, Diego doesn't always need his shadow abilities to fight, he's quite capable without his powers.
• Knowledge is power! Diego spends a lot of time learning about his enemies, their history, the land where they live and so on to give him the advantage.
• Wields two daggers he's named "Heaven and Hell". Though he'll usually only hold one at a time, if he holds them at all. He doesn't rely on weapons.
• Can heal himself via drinking blood. If he can't get to blood however then his rate of healing is only "faster than a human" and not instant meaning he can still bleed out and become vulnerable.
  
  

Weaknesses:

• Catch him while he's not in a shadow form and he can be killed off in most the same ways a human can, except for gunshot... bullets just go through him.
• The dimmer the shadows are around him, the weaker his power is.
• His powers can be blocked with light. Light will not hurt him, but it'll certainly get on his nerves if he can't get close to someone with his shadow abilities because they have light protecting them.

Shadow abilities:

• Flash step towards a target using shadows.
• Become shadow.
• Manipulate shadow.
• Create dark illusions to fool his foes/victims.
• Transform different parts of his body into weapons, such as large claws on his hands.
• Create needles and spikes which he can use to pierce his victims/foes.
• Use shadows as doors which he can throw weapons/himself through so his victims/foes have to guess which direction the attack will come from.
  
  

Personality:
Blunt and open with his words, fearless, morbid, determined, sees humans as being the lower species and treats them as such.
He's entertained by death and actively seeks out enemies and victims, most of who'm deserve what they get but some are simply because he's gotten hungry along the way and needs a quick blood fix.
Has a short temper and doesn't usually hesitate to react when someone's gotten on his nerves.
When he's not out on the hunt he's sat indoors with his nose in a book, Diego's a pretty smart demon knowing almost anything there is to know about history, geography and the inhabitants of Darsha being demons, dragons and other such creatures. knowledge is power and when you know your history, geography and any important info there is to know about your foes it makes things much easier!
Diego's not all bad, he has a soft spot for family and friends and will give 100% loyalty to them. He's neither a good guy or a bad guy, he just does what best suits himself (but if he had to be dropped into a category it wouldn't be good) He has no interest in material possessions other than his one favourite dagger and he can't be bribed with gold or other valuables.

History:
Diego was adopted into the Santero family as a baby making him the son to the demon king "Santos", and brother to the demon prince Carlos (who's no longer a demon prince, long story...). All he was ever told is that he was found in a burning village and rescued, he doesn't know who his real parents are or who burned down the village and for what reason but he assumes the village was pillaged and destroyed by thieves. Later on in life when he was much older his adoptive mother and little sister were murdered, he was told that Carlos had done it and for a long time swore that he'd find him and kill him. it wasn't until later on he found out that Carlos was totally innocent and the real killer was right under his nose this whole time feeding him lies... Santos. Diego cut his ties with the royal family and became a freelance assassin, not because it pays well or for honer or anything like that... but because killing is just too damn fun!!!!
